“I would too.” He smiled widely. He leaned in to kiss me, but the footsteps of my father walking in broke us apart. He had already seen, so it was too late.

　

“Remember the rules!” He scolded us. I rolled my eyes.

“You said we couldn’t make out, and we were following your rules!” I defended myself.

　

“Right, I was a teenager once,” Sarcasm was dripping off of his words. He grabbed the coffee pot and sat down, and I rolled my eyes.

　

“Yeah, once..” I mumbled. He looked up.

　

“I heard that!”

　

I stayed quiet. Alex and I didn’t even last a minute before we burst into laughter. My dad watched us curiously, and then he steps out of the room. Alex turned to me.

　

“So... I have another major question to ask you!” He says. I look at him, eyes filled with thought. What type of question would he want to ask me? What other amazing surprise could he give me?

　

“Sure, go on.” I told him.

　

“I know you want to go study in New York and there are a lot of colleges there who are offering me scholarships. My dad offered to get us a house there!” He said. I stared at him in disbelief.

　

“A house?” He nodded.

　

“I know we aren’t supposed to move in together until we get married... But he offered and I just wanted to get your opinion,” He quickly said.

　

“I’m getting married with you, meaning I’m planning to spend my entire life with you, meaning…I would love to move in with you,” I smiled.

　

He picked me up and swirled me around, and I couldn’t help but laugh. Things just kept getting better and better. Nothing could ruin this.

　

“I have to go tell my dad, I love you baby!” He said kissing me. I rolled my eyes at him as he walked away.

　

“Go tell your daddy your fiancé said yes!” I called after him.

My eyes closed slowly as sleep concurred me. I started to close my eyes, but was interrupted by a knock on the door. I groaned softly.

　

Grudgingly, I threw off my blankets and walked towards the door, silently wondering who stood behind it. I froze when it turned out to be none other than Jeydon. What the hell was he doing here?

　

“Hi,” He said. I felt awkward, because I wanted nothing more to slam the door right into his face, but that was out of the question.

　

“Hey, what’s up?” I asked him. He scratched his neck before saying something.
