21. Never be alone

So that's what I did. I pulled her leg further and the rest of her body followed so she was now straddling me.

I bit her lip while kissing and I felt her smile against my lips. She leaned back, too early for me, but I understood that we both needed to take a few breaths. "I missed that" she whispered against my lips. She brushed her lips over mine teasingly and when I leaned in, suddenly the door that I had closed so we had some privacy flew open.

The quick movement made me jump up a bit and Leah fell backwards with her body colliding with the couch.

"Am I interrupting something?" Jai asked bluntly. I slapped my forehead and rolled my eyes at him. "Don't blame me" he said, holding up his hands in surrender. He was right though.

"We we're just leaving" I said, standing up and helping Leah up as well.

I handed Leah her jacket and got my own as well, pulling it on. I opened the front door for her to walk through and closed it behind me when I was out of the door as well.

We didn't talk for a bit and when we were at the end of the street we both burst out laughing. "That was a bit awkward" Leah said and I smiled and looked down at her while taking her hand in mine. "I didn't know that anyone was home, next time I should check before we do that again".

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and quickly texted Jai that I wasn't mad, that it wasn't his fault and that we could laugh about it. He almost immediately texted back a smiley face.

We walked around town a bit but suddenly Leah pulled me into a shop. When I looked around the shop I saw it was an ice cream shop. I eyed her how she looked so happy, ordering an ice cream at the cash register. I quickly walked to her and pulled out some money because she wasn't going to pay anything at our date.

"For me one with hazelnut taste please" I said and the girl at the cash register nodded and smiled at us. I handed her the money and she gave me the change. We thanked her and walked out of the shop, holding hands.

"Really Leah... Ice cream when it's so cold outside" I said at her while she was she was eating her ice cream, clearly enjoying it a lot.

"I don't care if it's freezing outside. Ice cream is my guilty pleasure".

"You're weird".

"But you love me".

"Yes I do" I replied and held my ice cream in front of her mouth so she could taste some of mine as well.

A few hours later we were sitting at the movies waiting for the movie to start. We both had no idea which movie to choose so we let the guy behind the register choose one for us.

We hadn't looked at the cards yet because we both wanted it to be a surprise. I handed her the tickets so she could look first. Ladies go first, right. She turned the tickets and looked at the title of the movie.

She looked a bit scared when she looked back up at me. I wanted to ask her what was wrong but then she turned the ticket for me to read it as well.

Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension was what I read.

Great. Great job. Leah was scared to death for those movies. Couldn't that prick understand that girls didn't like those kind of movies. I wondered if he never went out to the movies with a girl before. I bet he didn't because he had no understanding in it at all.

"We can go back and change the tickets for another movie" I said but Leah stopped me from walking back to the cash register. I wanted to punch that kid so bad on the nose but that would ruin our night out.

"You're sure? Because I'm able to arrange something for us".

"I know you are but it's all right. I have you with me to protect me right?" she said, smiling up at me.

So what actually happened during the movie wasn't what I had expected. Instead of Leah hiding behind me, it was me who was holding his hands in front of his face.

Leah was teasing me about it and sometimes said that the scary part was over so I would look again, only seeing that it was still playing. She's such a bad girl.

"So where shall we go for dinner?" I asked her and she shrugged and looked up to the sky which was filled with bright stars. "We could just get a pizza and eat it at your house? Or we could let someone deliver it at your house" she suggested and I agreed with her.

"What kind of pizza do you want?" I asked her and she told me she wanted a Hawaii pizza. I choose pepperoni and called a pizza restaurant.

When we arrived at my house, Leah went to the kitchen to get two plates, glasses and something to drink while I went up to my room to make it available for two people to watch TV and eat pizza in it. My room is a bit of a mess.

The door of my room opened and Leah walked in and set the plates, glasses and drinks on my bed. When the doorbell rang I pulled some money out of my pocket and told Leah to put on some comfortable clothes. She could get clothes from my closet.

I opened the front door to get the pizza's from the delivery guy. He looked like my age and smiled at me while handing the pizzas.

I handed him the money and told him to keep the change. He thanked and walked away, turning his head and looking again at me. I didn't recognize him but maybe he knew me from somewhere. I had no idea.

I walked upstairs and opened my door to reveal Leah sitting on my bed, wearing one of my sweatpants and her own t shirt, smiling at me.

This first day together was amazing, I only hoped that tomorrow would be even better than today because I needed a bit of happiness into my life.
