"Hey," I smiled at him as I sat down.
When he didn't say anything I looked up at him and noticed that he was smirking down at my neck. Confused, I tried to look down but that failed, so I asked him, "Do I have something on my?"
He shook his head but kept on smirking, in triumph? But before I could implore any further, he changed the subject. "Where were you yesterday?" he asked, curious.
I shrugged, "I was spending time with my mom at Disneyland."
He raised his eyebrows at that, "Disneyland?"
"Hey! It was her choice! And besides, she's going to be gone for a month, so she can at least enjoy that before she has to go back to work in the hot sun."
The deep rumble of his laughter came through his chest before he stopped chuckling abruptly and looked at me serious, "She's going for a month?"
Before I could answer Mr. Johnson came through and asked for everybody's attention. Of course, only a few actually listened. When I was sure he wouldn't be paying attention to us since he put a movie about Egypt on and went to his desk, I whispered, "Yeah. It's not that big of a deal. She's been gone before, granted only for a week or two at a time, but I think I'll manage."
"What if something happens to you?" he asked me, and I could tell he wad genuinely concerned.
"How?" I smiled incredulously, "I'm always at yours. I only use mine to sleep."
He thinks about it for a moment and then nods, "Touché. But you could always stay at mine all day."
"No, I'm fine." I honestly was. I'm not scared of an empty house.
He looked at me and then reluctantly nodded before looking up at the movie screen as I did the same thing.
My next class, Dance, was a blast! Since there was a substitute, we all practically goofed off. Some random girls had started to walk like they were on a fashion show, only they exaggerated everything so it was hilarious! Soon enough, the guys were joining in, too, and there's was the most entertaining out of everyone else's.
As lunchtime rolled in, I found myself seated between Emily and Rose with Noah directly across from me and Alex to his side. We had kind of spaced ourselves a bit from the rest of the group.
"Okay, guys! Listen up!" Rose clapped her hands together, "So this weekend is a three day weekend so I was thinking that we could all go to my beach house for them! We'll leave Fri-"
"Jade and I can't leave Friday," Noah interjected, "We have to go to LA for the dance competition information."
I nodded my head in agreement but Rose wasn't having any of that, "When do you think you'll be done?"
"Well school let's out at 2:45," I intervened this time, "And it takes an hour to get there, right?" I looked at Noah and he nodded, "We can leave right after school ends so we'll get there around four and Ms. Daisy was saying it only lasts half an hour. So we'll be back by five-thirty or so."
"That's fine! It only takes an hour and a half to get to my beach house from here!" she exclaimed excitedly. "So? You guys in?"
"Yup!" Me.
"Yeah," Noah.
"Of course!" Emily.
"It'll be fun!" Alex.
An idea popped into my mind, "Why don't we invite Liam?"
"Liam?" Alex asked, confused. I guess he was the only one who didn't know.
