"Hey, you insulted me first!"

"And that's OK because I only speak what your actions say. This time I was merely speaking your attitude and boring personality."

"Well, someone lives up to their hair colour. All fiery and riled up over nothing, huh?"

Caitlyn moved to lunge at Alison, who doubled back into the circular stony wall, and Abigail jumped right in the way and pushed Caitlyn backwards.

"Just ignore her! Tell me how this prank works," Abigail breathed out.

"Don't make me use my wand," Caitlyn spat, narrowing her eyes at Abigail who was finally seen.

"Why not?" Alison's voice came out high-pitched and testing. Abigail could have sworn this girl had a death wish. "You're Muggle-Born, yet you cannot go down the old Muggle-fashioned way? Hmm?"

"Ally," Abigail gritted her teeth, glancing over her shoulder, "you aren't helping. I'm simply trying to save your life; you're too young to die."

But glancing back was all it took for Caitlyn to shove Abigail out of the way, taking her by surprise, and she fell backwards onto the steps. Shrieks and groans echoed loudly in the common room, the sounds of bodies colliding against walls, rolling down stairs, and furniture being used the wrong way - quite violently, too.

Gasping at how loud and inappropriate the two were being, Abigail forced herself up and dashed over to them, trying to pry Caitlyn off Alison. Pulling back Caitlyn's shoulder didn't seem to do much, only anger her more.

Grunting loudly, Caitlyn jabbed her elbow hard against Abigail's nose, causing her to stumble back and clutch her quite possibly bleeding nose. The pain wasn't just felt in her nose but, somehow, in her throat too, making it feel blocked and hard to breath. How much it hurt was to say that her nose was broken, but she could have been exaggerating a little bit; Caitlyn was more focused on strangling Alison than breaking noses.

Abigail cried out in pain at the hurt and ache, and felt around her pockets for her wand.

The sound of the portrait door swinging open brought Abigail's attention away from her wand search, and she looked up in horror at Billy and Chris who were just coming in.

"Hey, guys, what - ARGHHH!"

Thick, green slime had dropped from the ceiling and toppled all over Billy and Chris, who fell as silent as ever. Chris then made to move forward again, but he had walked straight into some string tied against one of the chairs and taped to the wall, and then feathers had sprung from out of net that was swinging delicately unnoticed on the ceiling, as well, blanketing Chris and Billy and making them look like Professor Kettleburns roosters.

Though this was a horrible situation to do so, Abigail couldn't find it in her to hold back her laughter this time. Footsteps thundered down the dormitory steps, a herd of sleepy students emerging to see what the commotion was. Nobody was awake or happy enough to laugh at Billy and Chris who were shrieking, but they were awake enough to become annoyed and pull the two fighting girls apart, Caitlyn's hands grasping Alison's hair, and Alison kicking anywhere she could as they were held back further.

"Someone get a teacher!" One of the prefects shouted. Two girls and a boy ran out of the Ravenclaw common room instantly to summon a teacher. "Stop it, right now!" he shouted, holding Caitlyn back with her body fully pressed against his own. A memory flashed in Abigail's mind of Tom doing the exact same thing instead with her. "Are you two mad! It's the middle of the night and we are trying to get some sleep! And you -"

Abigail perked up when he looked straight at her, anger spilling from his eyes as he blinked away his sleep. "Me?" she asked innocently.

"Yeah - you. What's your story?" he asked angrily, struggling to keep Caitlyn from head butting him in the face.
