"That's cool, I like your name," I commented as I started wandering around the kitchen and looking for snacks, more specifically Nutella. As I rummaged through the cabinets I decided to ask Logan some questions.
"So, do you hang out here? Because I could have been informed or something. It's pretty lonely here," I said as I frowned. Does this guy not have any Nutella? How could he not?
"I do Alpha's cooking. It's my job," Logan answered as she pulled a pan out of the oven and placed it onto the stove. I furrowed my brows. "He can't cook himself?" My eyes skimmed over a package of Twizzlers, I'll have to remember those are there.
"He has a lot on his plate and usually rarely has time for himself," she responded. I couldn't help but feel bad for Parker. I would hate to have to deal with a lot of stuff at once. I wish I could help because its not like I have anything else to do. He needs support and help. He does have a Beta and a Delta who probably help a lot.
"Oh," was all I could say. I didn't know what else to say. I closed the cabinet and turned to face Logan who was pulling out two plates. She scooped up what looked like meatloaf and placed it on the two plates. I could almost feel my mouth water as the smell hit my nose. Wow, it looked like heaven. I watched as she picked up the now filled plates and carried it to another room. My eyes widened. "Do you need any help?" I asked. The poor girl, she doesn't need to do this.
"No its fine, I got this," she replied while sending me a small smile. I let out a sigh as I followed her to what looked like the dining room. My mouth fell open as I stared wide-eyed at the chandelier that hung from the sealing to the mahogany table that looked like it could fit 20 people. It wasn't extremely big considering Parker use to live alone. Logan placed a plate at one end of the table and placed the other in front of the chair to the left of it. She filled two cups with wine and sat it by the plates. She then walked back over to me who was still at the entrance.
"I'm going to wash the dishes and then I'll leave. When you are done you can place it in the dishwasher or leave it in the sink for me to wash tomorrow morning. I'll be here to cook you and Alpha breakfast," Logan told me as she walked back to the kitchen. "Alpha should be here soon." I nodded my head before giving her a smile. She raised her eyebrow.
"Thank you," I said with the smile still on my face. A smile formed on her face too and her cheeks heated up.
"Y-You're welcome," she stuttered again. I shook my head sadly, "You don't get thanked that much, do you." Logan hesitantly shook her head no. My lips turned down. That ungrateful bastard.
Logan quickly finished up the dishes as I headed back to the dining room and took a seat. I looked down at my plate of food contemplating whether or not to wait for Parker. I shrugged and then dug into my meal. I shoved the meat into my mouth and let out a small moan. Damn, this is good. This girl sure knows how to cook. I can't cook even if my life depended on it. The women in the kitchen at my pack would never let me cook, I would always clean or take care of the pups.
I let out another moan of happiness as I dug into my food. A growl cut me off from my world of eating yummy food. I jumped a little in my seat before turning around to face where the sound came from. Parker stood leaning against the door frame, his eyes focused on me. I gulped at the darkness and intensity of his stare. He was wearing a black button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. He wore dark washed jeans which fit nicely on him and his yummy dark hair looked disheveled as if he ran his fingers through it numerous times. I couldn't help but notice the large bulge in his jeans which caused my cheeks to flush and me to shift in my seat uncomfortably. Does this guy even try to hide his boner?
"What?" I asked as I turned back around taking another bite of the meat. Parker didn't say anything but walk over and take a seat on his chair. I rolled my eyes before scraping the last bit off my plate while frowning, sad that it was all gone. I stood up from my chair not bothering too look at Parker and carried my plate into the kitchen. Deciding against Logan's words, I washed my dishes. When I turned the water off, I heard the sound of footsteps on the wooden floor before Parker turned the corner and entered the kitchen as well.
I watched as he placed the dishes and walked to the fridge. I rolled my eyes before turning back to the sink to wash his dishes. Logan shouldn't have to do this, this guy's a lazy ass. I then felt someone's presence behind me. Hands were placed on either side of me. I didn't need to turn around because obviously its Parker.
I decided to ignore him even though my wolf was itching for me to turn around. Once Parker's dishes were clean, I placed them on the drying rack. Parker's hands were still on either side of me. My breath hitched when I felt his warm breath hit my ear.
"What do you want?" I asked trying to keep my voice from wavering and showing that he is affecting me. He growled lowly in my ear, "Don't speak to me like that." I rolled my eyes but just nodded. Quickly I ducked under his arm to escape him. Another growl escaped him as he now towered over my small figure. I didn't cower away, I shouldn't let him have that satisfaction.
"I'm going to bed," I muttered before turning on my heels and walking away towards where I remembered the stairs were. I was so thankful that Parker didn't stop me, but I did feel his eyes on me. My feet patted their way up the stairs and down the hallway at the top of the stairs until they reached my room.
I let out a long sigh as I made my way to my bathroom to brush my teeth. Once I finished in the bathroom, I exited it and made my way to my bed. I pulled down the covers of my bed and I smiled at the thought of being able to climb in.
A knock then was sounded on my door. I let out an annoyed sigh. I was just about to climb into bed. With a frown on my face, I went to open the door. Parker was standing there with his hands in his pockets. I raised an eyebrow at him as if saying 'Why the hell are you disturbing me?' He just stood there not saying anything. An irritated sigh escaped my lips as I leaned against the door waiting for him to say something.
"We need to discuss the rules," he stated as he pulled his hands out of his pockets and crossed them over his chest. I mimicked him as I crossed mine which accidentally pushed my boobs up. Parker's eyes dropped to them before they moved back up while clenching his jaw. That's right buddy, eyes up here.
'No, buddy, keep your eyes down there,' Irene purred. Ok, my wolf is a perv. She needs a cold shower or something. Sadly she can't.
'Hey,' she protested, 'I'm not a perv!'
I chose to ignore her and focused back on Parker who looked serious with no emotions in his eyes. "Rules?" I asked while raising and eyebrow challenging him. His eyes narrowed as he nodded.
"You have to stay in this house no matter what and you can only leave with my permission and with a guard. You will do as I say and I will not deal with your refusal, childish acts, protests. And you must not question me," he spoke with a harsh tone, his jaw set and his eyes hard. My frown deepened as I sent an angry glare his way.
"Excuse me?"
Parker ignored me as he continued, "You will not come in contact with any male except my Beta or Delta if I say so, and if another male does, I will kill them. If you break any of these rules, you will be punished and face the consequences." The way he said consequences sent a shiver throughout my body. "Why do I need rules? You can't tell me what to do. Sure you are an Alpha, but you shouldn't treat your mate like that!' I argued raising my voice a little bit. Parker's nose flared as his eyes grew a bright color showing that his wolf did not appreciate my respect towards him.
"I am your Alpha and you will respect me!" Parker was now yelling. I stumbled back a little bit at how booming he was. To be honest, I almost shitted myself. Parker took a step forward still angry as he continued, "If you disrespect me one more time, I will punish you." I gulped as I fought down my fear and kept my stance.
My wolf was stirring. 'Don't let him talk to you like that!' she yelled angrily. For once she was agreeing with me and I was grateful.
'Yeah, but I don't want to find out what these consequences are,' I said back already knowing what he meant by consequences.
I gritted my teeth as I took as step towards him. "Whatever you say, Alpha," I spat that word with venom evident in my voice. And with that I slammed my door right into his face and locked it.
