"Um...I think you're mixing Sam and I with Ivan and Natasha."
Stevie's eyes widened a bit. "I almost forgot about their wedding."
"You should sleep Stevie." I told her.
"I can't I have so much to do this weekend and-"
"No...I'm begging you to go to sleep. You look like-"
"Hell. You look like hell."
"Thanks Maddy," Stevie shot her a dry look before putting a hand through her blonde hair and pushing it out of her face in frustration. "You should've made her hair wavy."
"Yeah I know but she had work today and there isn't enough time to make this thing she calls hair perfect." Way to sound like Natalie.
"She'd look nice in waves."
"I know right." Maddy agreed.
"Uh thank you?" I said, narrowing my eyes at Stevie before looking at Maddy out of the corner of my eye.
"How's Cedric?" Maddy asked Stevie, both of them talking as if I was not in the room.
"He's good although we live in the same country I haven't seen him for weeks but we talk every day."
"All you people have someone and I'm literally just here bored with my life." Maddy said as I pointed to my camera sitting on my bed.
"Um...what about George?" I muttered, as Maddy got it for me and I was flipping through my photos.
"Who's George?" Stevie asked, raising her eyebrows.
"He's just a friend." Maddy mumbled, now at the side of me and concentrating on my hair.
"That's what they all say." Stevie and I said at the exact same time.
"Jinx. You owe me a soda." I called out.
She rolled her eyes. "Sometimes I find it hard to believe that you're 18."
I gave her a face before sighing. "I'm serious Stevie you should really sleep."
She yawned once more and nodded. "Alright, night y'all."
"Night." Maddy and I said at the same time as I ended the video chat and closed my laptop.
"But seriously...what about George?" I asked her again.
Maddy rolled her eyes at me. "There's nothing going on between George and I. I don't even see him that way. Since when do you naturally like talking about this subject?"
"What subject?"
"You know...I mean you're in love and stuff but you're not the type to really talk about it unless I bring it up."
I shrugged. "I don't know. It's not like I feel the need to broadcast my relationship to the world."
"You keep things on the low." Maddy suggested.
I let out a breathless laugh. "Yeah I guess I keep things on the low."
"What about Sam?" she asked.
"I don't know about him. There are times where he would be like 'you're mine' and a little bit of possessiveness and wanting to let everyone know that I'm his. Other than that, he doesn't broadcast our relationship in the over the top kind of way. It's hard to explain."
"Okay...what's the most public thing you guys have done?"
I raised an eyebrow as she stopped straightening and stood in front of me, arms crossed. She laughed at my face and I joined in it before thinking. "Um...I don't-wait oh! When we were at the mall with our friends and in the middle of a bunch of people he kissed me."
"Like kissed you? Or he kissed you?" She put emphasis on the second question making me tilt my head to the side and put a hand to the side of my temple.
"He kissed me. Like that kind of kiss."
"You mean the kind of kiss with like ton-"
"Okay we're done talking about kissing!" We laughed as she went back to my hair.
"But seriously I'm happy for you Mace."
"Thanks Maddy. I'm happy for you and George."
"NOTHING IS HAPPENING BETWEEN GEORGE AND I." She exclaimed, nudging me on the shoulder with her hand and I burst out laughing.
"Kidding only kidding."
