When we reached the bottom of the building, my eyes widened at the vehicle in front of us. "W-What? H-How? Why?"
"It's just a car."
"That is not just a car, Samuel Cahill that is a Hennessey Venom GT."
He raised an eyebrow at my response. What? We've been together for six months now. With your father's best friend being a mechanic and your guy best friend being the son of your father's best friend, it's kind of easy to pick up on what were the best cars in the world. Plus this ca won a place Guinness Book of World Records. It was a pretty big deal to my dad and Andrew's dad.
Hanging around Sam's wealthy family shouldn't have made me surprised by the car in front of us. But for some reason I managed to be surprised. With this guy I always managed to be surprised.
I wasn't the only one surprised too because the car itself seemed to attract attention from many people passing by, some were taking pictures and pointing at it.
Sam let go of my arm and opened door for me. "You've been staring for a good minute Hazel. Ready to go?"
I pulled my vision off of the car and nodded quickly, carefully getting inside. Sam closed the door for me as I looked around, almost afraid to touch anything that I might scratch. When Sam got inside he looked over at me and rolled his eyes. "Oh my God, Hazel snap out of it."
"I'm sorry it's just," I paused to run a hand over the dashboard feeling the expensive material underneath my palm. "This car is so beautiful."
"But so are you."
I felt my face heat up and I quickly turned away and looked out the window, putting on my seatbelt. I could hear Sam laugh under his breath. "Now you're not staring at the car."
"I'm still staring at the car," I said still looking around the interior. "I'm just not looking at you."
"So the car gets more attention than your boyfriend? Especially on this day?" I glanced over at him to see his bottom lip jutting out and rolled my eyes.
"Just drive."
"As you wish." He grinned and the car moved smoothly so smoothly I almost gasped with excitement.
I took out my camera and turned my body to focus on Sam. I watched him hum under his breath and nod his head slightly to the beat of whatever he was singing in his mind. His green eyes were bright with probably more excitement than I had in me and he took a hand of the steering wheel to run through his now shorter curly hair.
He green eyes narrowed as we reached a stop light and he looked over at me, his tongue pressing against the inside of his cheek. "Are you planning on capturing another photo of me?"
I grinned holding the camera up to my eye and taking a picture. Sam shook his head laughing and as some lights lit up from a store close to our car, I immediately took a picture of him, loving how aesthetic he looked before changing to my phone camera.
He tried putting the camera away as I got multiple pictures of him. "Are you-the model-actually avoiding the camera?"
"Yes," He laughed, "Because I am trying to drive and you make it very hard to concentrate on the road Hazel."
"Can I get a picture of you when we get there then?"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah," I urged him, "You look..."
"I look what?" he smirked looking at me for a quick second before moving his eyes back on the road.
"You look interesting enough to take a picture of." He rolled his eyes before grabbing my hand and pressing a kiss to the back of it. The rest of the pleasant ride was spent quietly singing to the radio of the car while I struggled to not get carried away with looking at the interior of the beautiful car and Sam.
