"Don't judge me, especially when you were about to lock lips with this one." she retorts, pointing a finger at dick face, who, if I'm being completely honest, I forgot was standing there until just now.

I quickly bring my eyes up to meet his, only to find him looking rather amused by mine and Anna's little exchange.
Mortified at being outed, I find myself desperately trying to deny her claims but before I can vocalise them, Anna stops me with a dramatic hand gesture.

"And before you deny it, your shirt is inside out." she claims, pointing a finger at my, sure enough, inside out shirt.

Nice one, Amelia.

Panic, once again, begins to rise in my stomach but Anna is quick to cut it off at its source.

"Relax A, he's hot. Good for you." she smiles, linking her arm through Gregg's, preparing to leave. "What's your name?" she asks, directing her question at dick face.

"Aidan." he answers straight away and even though I can't see him, I can sense the smile on his face.

Great, even his name is sexy.

"Aidan," Anna repeats, as if to clarify that fact in her mind, "the room behind us just became available, although apparently you only have an hour left." she declares mortifying me in the process as she so openly expresses her suggestion.

"Have fun!" she says, quickly dragging Gregg away from our 'chat'. "Text me in an hour and I'll come meet you." she adds, already half way down the stairs.

I respond by simply sending a few death glares her way and add in some silent curse words for good measure.

This sister of mine seriously needs to learn the meaning of 'subtlety'.

"Best friend?" Aidan asks, snapping me from my murderous thoughts, while I silently laugh at my now referring to him by actual name.

Shaking my head, I return my attention to its original place and find him much closer than I anticipated.

"U-umm," I stutter with an awkward cough while taking a little step back, putting some much needed distance between us, "no, sister." I reply, smiling slightly at the end, attempting to rid any tension.

"Oh okay, older or younger?" he asks, seeming genuinely interested in this little piece of knowledge he now has about me.

"Older," I answer, "by twenty six minutes."

Aidan's eyebrows suddenly shoot up in interest and I can't deny the odd butterfly here and there, flapping around in my stomach still.

"You're a twin? That's cool." he replies with such enthusiasm, I can't help but laugh.

"Yep." I say, popping my 'p' at the end, preparing my dreaded departure speech. "So, umm, I'm just gonna go-"

"I can keep you company, if I'm not mistaken, you have an hour to kill." he states, offering me a cheeky smile to accommodate it.

The sudden urge to quickly fly into his arms and pick up where we left off, hits me but I just about manage to keep my restraint.

"Thanks, I appreciate the offer-"

"But...?" he asks, anticipating by rejection.

"But I'm in a bad mood tonight, I don't wanna dampen your spirits by hanging out with you." I state, figuring I might as well go with the truth instead of making up excuses. "Plus, it is kind of your fault why I'm so pissy." I add, smirking at him.

His mouth, once again, curls up into a delicious smile and a breathtaking laugh falls from his mouth.

"We're back to that? I thought we agreed that the beer 'incident' was your fault." he says, smirking right back but this time with an added wink which just so happens to send my heart into a frenzy.

My God, that wink is something else.

"I agreed to no such things!" I defend, faking my utmost outrage.

Another calming laugh is shared between us until it slowly settles down, leaving us in silence, once again.

"Well, I'm gonna go find a corner to mellow in for an hour." I joke, although I don't doubt for a second that, that is likely what I'll end up doing.

I turn on my heel, readying myself to leave when Aidan's warm hand is wrapped around my wrist, stopping me from walking away. Turning my attention back to him, I wait patiently for his reasoning in doing so.

"I hope you enjoy the rest of your evening, it was lovely meeting you, Amelia." he speaks and the way in which he does so, rolling my name so effortlessly off of his tongue, leaves me gasping for air.

Pull it together Amelia, it's just a name.

"You too, bye Aidan." I reply, sending him one last smile before leaving him standing there, all alone.

Heading towards the kitchen again, I pass the blonde girl who I recognise from my previous stalking and noticing she went with the dark haired guy as apposed to the blonde one. Smiling at the situation and agreeing with her final choice, I find my mind drifting off to my own encounter with a certain dark hair stranger this evening.

As much as I think I hate him, I can't help but wonder what his lips would have felt like pressed to mine.

Warm? Cold?
Soft? Rough?
Hard? Tender?

Sighing, I dismiss those thoughts from entering my head, figuring there's no need to dwell on something I'll never have.

I guess I'll simply never know what Aidan's lips will feel like against my own, right?
