A Girl In An Auto Shop

Jason's pov

Oh man, I'm tired. I didn't sleep well last night. I may take today off and let everyone else hunt. But then again I haven't gotten anything yet this hunt. I force myself to get out of bed and get a cup of coffee downstairs. "There's sleeping beauty." Tombo says. Everyone else laughs. "Ha ha very funny guys." I say, sitting down. "Man, you're wiped! What's up?" "I don't know man, I'm just exhausted." "Well it's me and you in the duck blind back in left field." I smile. "You're makin' me think of baseball. Ha left field." I drink a cup of coffee and feel more awake. "I just have to say these are not peaking hours for a country singer. Willie comes downstairs. "There's someone missing." He says. I realize it's my girlfriend. Oh man. I laugh. "Hey Willie, I think she went out early." His eyes go wide. "No! She can't!" I pat his shoulder. "Face it Willie. You're screwed." "No! I'm not! I can still win this!" He grabs his crossbow and takes off running. Everyone else laughs. "Man, this thing with those two is pretty important. What are the stakes?" Uh..... They aren't gonna like it. "Loer has to walk around the buck lodge for a whole day with cameras rolling by the way buck naked!" Adam's eyes go wide. Tombo drops the coffee cup he was holding. Luke stares at me shocked. "No way!" Luke gasps. I nod. "Willie didn't know what he was getting into." I say. "Oh man, this is gonna be really gross!" Bruce says. I laugh and nod. "I'm comin' in with a blindfold last day of buck season. I don't wanna see that."

Miranda's pov

I spot Willie walking over to the stand I'm in. I smile. "Hey Willie how's your day?" He glares up at me and climbs into the stand. "Please throw in the towel!" My eyes go wide. "Whoa! Are you crazy?! Hell no!" "I can't give in. The guys'll never let me live it down." He says, desperately. "Hey we made a bet and I'm stickin' by it. I never go back on a bet just ask Jason." I say, smiling mischievously. "What do you mean by that?" He asks, sitting down. "Oh did he never tell you how we hooked up?" I'm obviously not gonna tell Willie that I let Jason off the hook. "No he didn't." I smile. "Oh hold on!" I line my sights with a deer in the distance. I let my arrow fly, nailing the deer easily. "Third one today." He facepalms himself. "Anyway I was at a pool hall. He came to and challenged me to a game of pool. He acted like he didn't know how to play then made a wager." I pause to let him think about that. "What was the wager?" "If he won, I had to go on a date with him and if I won, he had to sit at the bar butt naked. I'm pretty sure you know who won!" His eyes go wide. "You're kidding!!" I shake my head.

Jason's pov

Willie comes back looking shell shocked. "How far ahead is she now?" I ask, smiling. "She's got this in the bag." He says, sitting beside me. "So you and her in a game of pool." My eyes go wide. "She didn't!" He laughs. "Oh she did, Mr. Cocky ass." "I can't believe she told you that story!" I gasp, covering my eyes with my hands. "Oh you and me are gonna have the same fates pretty soon, brother." Oh so she didn't tell him about letting me off the hook. "God, I've gotta go give that girl a piece of my mind." He laughs. "Good luck naked boy. She can do anything a guy can do." I roll my eyes. "Including kicking your ass." "Whatever Willie." I get to the deer stand she's at.

Miranda's pov

I see Jason climb into the deer stand. "Hey what's up?" "I'm gonna get you." He says. I laugh. "You told Willie?" I nod. He quickly slips my bow from my hands and kisses me. My hands fall to my sides in surprise. "Didn't see that coming." I say, smiling up at the big strong green eyed romantic. "You look so good in camo." He whispers, wiping the hunting paint off my cheek.

*end of deer season*

"Ok let's tally up the total!" Jason shouts. Me and Willie stand side by side, me confident, him looking nervous. "Willie, you got 32 total deer this season. And Miranda you got......35!" My eyes go wide. "Yes I won!" I shout, jumping in the air. "I...... I lost!" Willie stumbles to say! I run over and hug Jason. "I won!!" "I knew you would baby." The whole lodge is looking at Willie now. "Take it off! Take it off!" I chant excitedly. His face is so red. "Oh well, a bet's a bet." "Oh wait." Jason says. He puts a blindfold on. I laugh. "You weren't kidding?" He shakes his head and I kiss him, catching him off guard. Willie strips down to his underwear. "Nah ah, all of it, Willie!" I shout. "Jason, your girlfriend is evil!" He chuckles. "You're the one who made a dumbass bet." He calls. "Where are you babe?" He says, feeling for me. I laugh and grab his hands, setting them on my sides. He smiles and I remove the blindfold. Willie's already stripped. Jason smiles down at me. Then his eyes land on Willie behind me. "Ahh! My eyes!" He shouts jokingly. I laugh and pull him into a kiss. "You're the most badass country girl I've ever known."
