“Cole” Derrick nods before coming to sit down in one of the three empty chairs with Paul following closely behind him. Wonder how Pauls going to react when he sees his buddie Erin.
“Now we are all here will have several things to discuss” I begin with a smirk “Today we are going to find out the truth about East Forest and Erin’s abilities.”
“And how exactly are you planning to do that?” Paul questions disbelievingly
“Take a look.” Brendan jabs his thumb behind him to the sofa where Erin is slumped. Paul stands up and walks over to the sofa a soft growl escaping his lips.
“What did you do to her?” he demands
“Gave her the Incorpisce” Another growl. I watch angrily as he places a hand on her forehead tenderly. What the fuck is he doing? Suddenly he increases his pressure and I come over to push him off her with a growl but before I can do anything he pulls back and I watch before my eyes as Erin shifts into her wolf form though her mental state hasn’t changed. “What the fuck did you do?” I demand and he bows his head in respect.
“When Werewolves are young parents sometimes have to force them into their wolf or human forms it only works when they are extremely young or weak. You had pushed her to that point so I gave her that dignity.” He tells me calmly
“Dignity?” Asher calls in disbelief
“You all say you are going to have her but yet you’re okay with her lying here exposed. Besides did you want to have everyone distracted while you dip into her mind?” He smirks.
“From now on you don’t touch her without my permission first.”
“Yes sir.”
I bend down and out my arms around Erin’s wolf body before hoisting her into my arms and placing her lightly on the table. I then walk around until I am at the head of the table with Brendan to my right and Kaige to my left. “Firstly we’re going to take a look at her past and skim through until we find something of importance starting from a young age.”
I close my eyes and reach into her mind once more pushing away the clouds of nothing until I reach her still intact memories. “Close your eyes and focus on the link” I reach for the oldest memories and come to chunks of memories from as far back as to when she was one or two and quickly push past them until the memories become solid. Images rush through my mind of her running through fields and playing in the mud finally landing on her with a wolf.
I push deeper into the memory and then force it into the link shared with the people within this room. I watch as a large, dark brown wolf walks closer and closer until it fills the memory. I push deeper into it and find a sense of amazement coming from Erin as she stares up what the man she calls dad has become. I watch as her hand reaches out and flinch back waiting for her to learn the first lesson with Werewolves; never touch someone in Wolf form while you’re in human. It never comes, her hand makes contact with the her father’s fur and even he seems to be shocked for a moment before leaning his head against her hand softly.
The memory end and I open my eyes to find several shocked faces looking back at me. “How is it possible?” Tamal growls her eyes wide and searching. How is it possible? How far does it extend?
“Are you sure this was not her imagination seeing as the memory was from such a young age?” a dry, husky male voice asks from the other end of the table.
“John may be right” Tamal agrees looking at the elder with hope in her eyes. Why is she so upset about this?
“Very well” I mutter before delving back into Erin’s mind.
