Miranda's pov

The boys went fishing and I scored a couple tickets to the baseball game so me and Caroline head to that. I'm eight months pregnant and Caroline is four months pregnant. "Aw baseball. America's favorite past time." I say, drinking my coke. Caroline stands up. "I'm gonna go get a hot dog. Want anything?" I shake my head and feel the baby kick. We've decided to be surprised when he or she gets here.

Jason's pov

A calm breeze blows by us. A happy sigh slips out of me. "I don't know what it is about sitting on a boat with a rod and worms on a warm summer evening." I say, staring at the water. "Getting a little poetic there aren't ya, Jason?" Luke teases. "Shut up, Luke." I say, laughing. I cast my line and let the warm breeze wash my worries away. I close my eyes.

Miranda's pov

Ooh. "Ok calm down little one." I gasp. The guy sitting beside me laughs. "Man, you're fat!" He gasps, pointing. I slap the douche in the face angrily. "I'm pregnant you dick!" I yelp. "Miranda cool it! He's just a random drunk asshole." I nod annoyed and turn my attention back to the game just as the player slides home. I throw a fist in the air and stand up! "Yes!" Ooh ow! I press a hand to my stomach then feel a warm liquid run down my leg.

Jason's pov

Luke's phone rings as I reel a fourth fish in and put it in the cooler. Man we're racking up today. "Whoa! Jeez! You're kidding!" He gasps I raise an eyebrow at him. "What's up, Luke?" "Girl, we're in the middle of the lake. It's gonna take a while!" He says. "Luke! Hello?" He lowers the phone. "Miranda went into labor!" My eyes go wide.

Miranda's pov

Caroline helps me out to my truck, still on the phone. "Wait! Jason! You can't stand up in the boat!" I hear both boys shout then the line goes dead. Something tells me they fell in the water.

Jason's pov

I spit water out of my mouth coughing. I tipped the boat from standing up out of fear. "I gotta get to the hospital!" I cry panicked and swimming to shore. "Hurry it up bro!" We get back to the shore and to the truck. My jaw drops. Bears! "We'll have to get rid of 'em." I mutter. "Jason, you're my best friend. I'd do anything for you. But I'm not fighting bears." "What do we do then?!" I shout, worried. He glances over my shoulder. I turn around and see two motorcycles. "It's not stealing. We'll bring 'em back." He says. I shakily nod and run over. We were in the middle of hotwiring them when two big tough looking biker guys walked out. Uh oh. "Hey are you stealing our bikes?" He growls, pulling out a switchblade. I don't have any weapons on me! "Uh..... W-Wait.... G-Guys..... My wife is about to have a baby! Please I'm just trying to get to the hospital!" I gasp, worried. They exchange glances. "Ok hop on." He says, tossing me the keys. "Oh thanks so much. I'll return them. I promise." I say, waving. "Good luck." He says. We get on the motorcycles and fly out of there going fifty. "I'm gonna make it baby." I whisper determined.

Miranda's pov

Tears soak my face. Caroline stands by my side. "Where's Jason?" I gasp. "I don't know. It's gonna be okay." She says. The doctor tells me to push. Fear fills me. "Not without Jason!" I whimper. "Ma'am, you have to push now!" She gasps. "I am not having this baby without my husband!" I scream.

Jason's pov

I can't believe we were stuck for ten miles behind a damn chicken truck. We were covered in feathers as we ran into the hospital. The woman screamed and I asked where Miranda was. "What the?" She mumbles. Then she tells me where to go. I quickly rush in there. "Baby?" I cry. I hear her scream. I grab her sweaty shaking hand. "Oh Jason thank God you're here!" She gasps then opens her eyes. "What on earth happened to you guys?" "Uh on motorcycles behind a chicken transport truck." I mumble embarrassed. "Ma'am you have to push now or something bad is gonna happen." She screams again as she pushes and grips my hand so tight it feels like my fingers are gonna fall off. "Ahhh! Get this fucking baby out of me dammit!" She yells. Man that girl and her temper. "It's a boy!" The doctor says, holding the crying baby. My hands fall to my sides. I have a son. "We did it!" She gasps, crying. I wipe the sweat off her forehead and kiss her lips. "You did great baby." I say, holding her hands. She smiles exhausted. "Where is he?" The doctor brings him over. "Congratulations." Luke says, patting my shoulder. I was holding him and I'm just so shocked that this is actually happening. "Got any names?" My darling wife asks. I smile down at the adorable little guy. "What about Jake?" I ask, smiling. She smiles too, closing her eyes. "I love it." I hand him to her and the doctor wants me to do all the paperwork so I go with him and come across the bikers in the waiting room, catching me by surprise. "Hey! Did you make it?" "Yeah. Thanks for letting us borrow your bikes. It's probably the only reason we made it in time." I say handing the keys. "I never caught your names." They smile. "I'm Mark and this is Carlos." "We had a boy named Jake." "Congrats, man." I nod and tip my hat to them then fill out the stuff I need to. Then I go back to the room. Miranda is asleep now and Luke is holding Jake. "Hey little buddy, I'm your uncle Luke and here's your aunt Caroline." I smile watching this adorable moment. "Hey Luke having fun?" I ask, walking over. He smiles. "You got a bright little boy here." He says. "I can't wait for Tate to get here." I say, sitting beside him. He hand Jake to me and he's fast asleep now. He moves his arm in his sleep and grips my finger. Man if this is fatherhood, I'm sure glad I'm finally here. I look at my sleeping wife and lay my son beside her. "Thanks baby for giving me the greatest gift ever." I say, kissing her forehead.
