They turned it.
OMG it got even worse. It was a scantily clad female. With three breasts.
This is ridiculous.
She looked as if she was from a seventies Star Trek episode.
She was unconscious and three men had to tow her out of the pink ship.
I grinned. Beautiful, but heavy alien.
Gerald walked in and looked at the screen with his mouth open.
“She…she…she…blue…and three…IS THIS LIVE???” he uttered incredulously.
I nodded.
The rescue men on the television were looking as disbelievingly at her as we did.
God this was disappointing.
We stayed glued to the telly for a few hours until they started repeating things that we had already seen.
“My queen, what do you want to do?” Gerald asked me.
“Let’s wait until tomorrow and see whether she is intelligent and survives. For now, just see whether you can track where they locate her and what tests they are doing on her.” I instructed him
“Specifically blood tests, I would love to try a new flavour of meat!” I grinned.
He smiled and wrote it down.
“Yes, your highness. Anything else?” he asked.
“Yes, please I am hungry and want something sweet. Do we still have some blood from the humans on chocolate leftover?”
He nodded. “I’ll send it in.”
I excused him and walked to my bedroom and disrobed. A human servant was trembling in the corner of the room.
“Oh quite acting like a frightened little mouse, I am not going to eat you. I find drinking from the source distasteful. You don’t drink milk directly from the cow’s udder, do you?” I asked her while glaring at her,
This seemed to relax her a bit. Stupid human.
I put on my nightie, a satin nightgown and my velvet slippers. Ahhhhh…freedom
The corsets and robes I had to wear during the day were restraining and suffocating. But they did their job, making me look scary and beautiful at the same time.
I thought of the alien. At least what she was wearing couldn’t be suffocating or restraining. There was simply to less of it.
I walked back to the living room and took the glass of chocolate blood from its plate.
I took and sip and smiled. Gerald even had it heated up.
I walked over to the high windows that gave view of the courtyard and sat down on the window seat. They gave me an excellent view of my subjects below. Too bad they could see me as well.
I had tried to convince my interior designer to make them one-way, mirroring on the outside, but he flatly refused, threatening to leave me to my own devices if I pushed the matter. My taste sucked and I couldn’t receive my guests in something that looked like a bordello. I needed Jean-Luc.
Groups of vampires were talking excitingly to one another. I saw Andreas mimicking three breasts with his hands and putting his nose in between them. I laughed. Males. They were always the same, regardless of their species.
I heard footsteps approach me from behind and I swiftly turned.
Just in time to stop the knife that was approaching my face at high speed.
I grinned and caught the hand holding it into a lock, twisting it while making a circular movement. The male vampire groaned and sank down to the ground as I snapped his arm out of its socket.
These assassins were amateurs. I couldn’t believe it. They were now sending newborns to do the dirty deed.
I sniffed and picked up a trace of human blood. Good, he had just fed.
I snarled, exposed my fangs and dived in for his neck.
After sucking him dry I snapped his neck and laid him down on the stone floor.
I sighed in frustration. This is why I couldn’t have nice fluffy carpets that I wanted in my quarters. They would be stained with blood spots everywhere within a day.
I walked over to the intercom on the wall and called for the cleaners. “There is another one, girls, clean him up and display him down in the courtyard for a week before burning him.”
I loved that medieval custom. I never grew tired of looking at my dead assassins.
Light came flooding in from the window. I yawned. Time for my beauty sleep.
In bed I read the news on my iPhone, but they listed nothing new on the alien. I wonder where she was and whether she was feeling as alone as I did.
She was probably afraid and if she was anything like humans, she would be smelling deliciously.
I grinned. I couldn’t wait to taste her.
--------***---------
At sunset I woke. I opened my eyes and stared at my ceiling.
Jean-Luc had painted a fresco on it depicting judgment day. I simply loved the screaming people with terror in their eyes. So life-like.
Yes well, JL had had enough time to practice his skill in the almost 1000 years that he was a Vampire.
I was even older. A lot older.
I existed in my spirit form at the dawn of age. I could remember the swaps and the primordial seas. Hell, I even remembered Earth cooling down after the blast. I think I existed before the Big Bang, but not conscious, not recognizing myself as a separate being.
I had recognized the flawed perfection of the beings evolving themselves in humans, I had recognized their potential to be great. And they offered me something that I could never experience.
Emotion. Feeling touch. Perceiving time.
Only their grip on reality that I didn’t have was flawed. It caused them to age, to grow old and die.
I could change that. I could infuse myself in them and change that.
And so I did.
In the process losing Dravec, my mate. Who refused to stoop down to humanity and become flesh.
At first.
It took him thousands of years, but he came for me. He thought he was rescuing me. Not realizing what I had to offer.
The experiences that I had to offer.
When he ripped me from the former King in which I was embodied at that time he felt it. He felt how I had changed. He felt my knowledge, my history.
And he changed is his mind.
He became flesh with me and we were complete for a few decennia, embodied as king and queen.
We had it all.
Until he died in childbirth. He died with Noah to save our child. Zea.
I lifted myself up from the bed and brushed my tears away. I couldn’t afford another depression. The last one almost killed me.
I walked to the bathroom and took a bath, feeling myself slowly relax and drifting away from my thought about Noah and Dravec. I had loved them both, as they loved us both.
I sighed and pushed myself up, grabbing the towel on the stand next to bath.
I put the towel around my body and walked back to the bedroom and called for my maid.
I sighed. Back to the corsets and robes.
