Seokjin slipped out of the room and Jimin let himself sit up from the carpet. His wings sat heavy on his back, making him hunch over. He'd spent so long without them that he wasn't used to their weight. He wasn't sure if he'd actually missed them. Jimin turned to look at himself in the mirror, eyes grazing over the hickeys on his chest and flicking up to his wings, bright and vibrant against his sun kissed (and Yoongi kissed, his mind reminds him) skin. He'd gotten tan after many days sat on the roof, some of them spent contemplating what to do about Hoseok and Taehyung, a very memorable one spent thinking about Yoongi's lips on his cheek the night after the bet.

Jimin ran his hands over his wings, feeling the silkiness of the feathers under his fingertips. He took his left hand and pressed two fingers to a particularly prominent hickey on his collar bone and sighed. "This... this is all wrong." He muttered. He got up and pulled on a shirt, then ruffled around in his closet for his enchanted jacket.

His wings disappeared as the electric blue fabric slipped over his shoulders. Jimin pulled his shirt up to cover the bruise on his collarbone and left his room, patting his back pocket to make sure he had his key, even though he didn't need to.

Jimin's parents were waiting for him when they got to the cafe area, and his mom broke out into a run upon seeing him, his father following quickly after her. Jimin didn't move, his feet were stuck to the ground, so he just opened his arms and caught his mom when she barreled into his arms. He practically fell backwards with the force, but thankfully caught himself before he plummeted to the ground.

"Jimin, I'm so happy you're home, I missed you." Mrs. Park choked out, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes. Mr. Park joined the embrace, wrapping his strong arms around both his wife and son.

"Hey guys," Jimin whispered, burying his nose in his mom's hair. He too felt the tears beginning to trickle down his face, and he hastily wiped them away with the back of his hand. "I missed you so much."

"It's okay, Jimin. You're home now." Mr. Park said, smiling at Jimin and ruffling his hair. Mrs. Park pulled away from Jimin and stared up at him for a minute before wrapping her arms back around him in a bone crushing hug.

"Yeah, home." Jimin said, voice tight as he tried to cough away the lump in his throat. His parents lead him over to a table where Taehyung and Jungkook were already sat, talking animatedly about something. It reminded him a little of Hoseok and Taehyung, that one time they'd been on a date and they'd crashed the friendly cupcake sharing between himself and Yoongi. Yoongi.

"Jiminie hyung!" Jungkook yelled, throwing himself over the table to wrap Jimin in a hug. Jimin smiled weakly and patted his back as Jungkook rattled on about how bored he was without him or Taehyung around, and how glad he was that they were back.

"Alright, Jungkook, give him a little air." Taehyung said. Jungkook immediately dropped his arms from around Jimin's neck and stepped backward. Jimin smiled gratefully at Taehyung and slid into the chair next to him, making Jungkook pout slightly as he took the chair next to Jimin.

"Wings?" Taehyung asked under his breath. Taehyung had lost his wings after he'd kissed Hoseok, and he had them on full display, bright white feathers fanning out around his shoulders.

Jimin nodded and Taehyung raised an eyebrow. "They're under my jacket. They were heavy." Jimin said. Taehyung nodded but kept an eye on him as he turned back towards Jimin's parents. They were engaged in deep conversation, about something that Jimin couldn't hear.

"So, Jimin," Mr. Park started, situating his hands on the table and lacing his fingers together in a way that Jimin knew he meant business. "Your mother and I have been talking about this whole mission situation. And as you know you have a hearing on Friday."

If Jimin was drinking something he may have spit it out. It was only Sunday, he had to wait nearly a week to even see the Council, let alone hear back from them to see if he got to stay or not.

"And if you don't get to stay, we've arranged with you to go live with your aunt, you know, the pixie?" Jimin nodded. He did know the aunt, the pixie aunt. The aunt that was usually crying about something, the aunt that frequently found herself under the feet of other people. The aunt that probably should have died four years ago. "Would that be okay with you? You won't have your wings or anything, but you'll still be close enough to where you can hang out with your friends and be a part of our lives."

"I'll think about it," Jimin said. Taehyung glared at him out of the corner of his eye but Jimin just stared down at his hands, picking at his fingers silently. His parents dove into a conversation with Jungkook and Taehyung's fingers snapped in front of his face. "What?"

"You're not actually thinking about it, are you?" Taehyung whisper screamed at him. Jimin shrugged and looked up at Taehyung briefly, met his glare and looked back down. "I did not work for three months - I did not put my relationship with Jungkook on the line - just so you could give up, lay down and die. I know you hate your aunt. Why would you live with her when you could go back to Yoongi?"

"Your relationship with Jungkook?" Jimin questioned, eyebrows shooting up into his hairline.

Taehyung sighed, resting his head in his hand, letting his bangs flop over the blush forming on his cheeks. "Is that all you got out of that?"

"No, I understand that you want me to be happy, but... your relationship with Jungkook." Jimin said. Taehyung buried his face in his hands and Jimin glanced at Jungkook briefly, who had apparently overheard, as he was blushing furiously and struggling to maintain eye contact with his parents.

"We'll - we'll talk about it later, okay?" Taehyung muttered, sound muffled by his hands pressed against his cheeks. Jimin laughed and patted Taehyung once on the shoulder lovingly and nodded.

"Hey, Jimin," Jimin turned around to see Namjoon standing behind him, wringing his shirt through his fingers. Jimin raised an eyebrow at him in acknowledgment. "Jin needs to see you."

"Jin? Not hyung?" Taehyung questioned, and Namjoon blushed a deep red, glitter starting to sprinkle out of his finger tips onto the floor.

"J-Jin hyung needs to see you, Jimin-ah." Namjoon said before promptly spinning on his heel and practically running away. Jimin and Taehyung laughed and Jimin shook his head.

"Looks like everyone aside from me is falling in love," Jimin muttered, standing up and dusting off the bottom of his shirt. He started walking away, and over the chatter of everyone in the cafe he heard a snort and a 'whatever' come from Taehyung.
