"Are you a dual?" He asked his bed headed uncle. Definitely asleep then.
"No, I'm a sub. Len is a Dual. And Catherine is his dominant." Henry said scratching his chin. "I'm surprised you picked up on the fact one of us was a dual."
"Well... I heard from Lizzy that Adam is your son but I hadn't heard about Len or Catherine so I just... guessed." Harry explained with a lame shrug. "I'm a dual."
"You are? Amazing. I've been writing a research paper on Dual's. They are pretty common but there's still not a lot known about the finite details. Would you be interested in answering some questions? Len's been a darling but fresh answers would be nice." Henry asked. Harry beamed and nodded. At that moment a pretty blonde woman rounded the corner, she had distinct tabby cat patterns on her cat-like features and she was cradling a glass bottle of what was obviously milk. 'That'd be Catherine then.' Harry thought idly. She paused seeing him and cocked her head to the side. "Caty, this here is my nephew, Harvey, I mean Harry. Oh if I didn't have my head screwed on..."
"We'd find it every time you lost it, Henry." Catherine chuckled before strolling over and shaking Harry's hand. "I was just about to go and get Len and Adam. Perhaps you boys would like to come with me?"
"Oh yes, definitely, just let me get my glasses." Harry's hair brained uncle said scurrying inside before either Harry or Catherine could tell him he was wearing them.
"Your uncle is a very forgetful man. Don't take it to heart if he forgets your name. He went around calling me Casey for the first month I knew him." Catherine laughed lightly. Her blue eyes sparkled brightly as she looked at him. "A dual?"
"Yes, you've been the only one to guess at first glance." Harry sighed.
"I married a dual. I should be able to tell." She laughed. "Anyone gives you trouble Kitten and tell em Cat Potter will get them. Oh, I hope you don't find it strange that Len and I took the name Potter."
Harry shook his head and beamed at her. "Family is family." He said. Catherine grinned pulled him into a one armed hug.
"They were on my face the whole time." Henry said reappearing in the doorway.
"We could have told you that." Cat said making Harry cover his mouth to hide the smile. "Come on, I bet those two surf junkies have wrinkles on their wrinkles."
Harry and Henry followed after the dominant and Henry asked a few questions about Harry's experiences as a duel. "How's your magic?" The older Potter asked.
"It's more stable now but I'm still having trouble." Harry admitted.
"Makes sense. Duals have a large magic reserve, in order to ground it they usually require two partners."
"I would rather just have Luna." Harry mumbled.
"I understand, sometimes I get jealous because Len isn't all mine but you'll get used to it. And honestly I wouldn't want it any other way." Henry said with a smile so dazzlingly bright Harry no longer wondered how his hair-brained uncle had managed to build such a cheerful family.
"There they are." Said Catherine pointing out to the waves of the beach. Harry saw two wind cats sailing through the waves like it was no ones business.
"Woah." He exclaimed. "So I heard Adam is an American Bobtail, and that Uncle is a Siamese."
"Yep. And Catty is a Tabby. Len is a Tiger. I've noted that most duals tend to be wild cats." Henry explained catching up after falling behind in the sand.
"What are you by the way?" Cathryn asked curiously as she waved the surfers in to shore.
"Panther." Harry said not noticing her shocked expression.
