Sozin's Comet, part 2: The Old Masters - Chapter 18

Nami took a moment to think before looking at Iroh " I think I was meant to go with Zuko.  Azula put me through so much, making me go against my true self.........I want her to pay for her sins"

Iroh nodded as soon Katara helped you up on to Appa's saddle.  It was the first time you had rode him since Zuko let him free from Lake Loigai.  Zuko sat on Appa's neck holding the reins as he looked at Iroh talking to him.

" so if im going to be Fire lord, after the war is over, what are you going to do" Zuko asked looking at Iroh wondering as Nami did the same looking at Iroh.

"After I concer Bai Sing Sai,  I'm going to re-concer my tea shop and I'm going to play Pai Sho every day" Iroh said slipping his Lotus tyle

Katara and Zuko looked at Sokka and Suki and nodded at them like a good luck as Nami looked at Iroh "Good by Iroh, take care of your self " she smiled at him happy wanting him to be safe as he was a dear friend and like a family member she never had through her life.

" Today destiny id our friend, I know it" Iroh said giving a Nod to Nami before Sokka turned the Ellhound and rode off and Zuko made Appa fly towards the Fire nation.

It was going to be a long journey, like an all nighter for Appa to fly. as Nami sat in the saddle near the back leaning over the edge looking out in to the horison.  Nami knew right away when Azula and Ozai fell her other priority was to find her mother in prison; but Nami did not know she had escaped all those years ago.

" So what will you do when this war is over Nami" Zuko asked while flying Appa, Katara looked over at Nami, as she was sat near the front with Zuko to look a head to the distance.

" I want to free my mother, and find out what happened to my father ........ the Fire Lord took that from me ....... I want it back" Nami looked Serious in to the distance clenching the side of the saddle.

Katara looked really worried about it as she looked to Zuko who switched with Katara to let him go over to Nami sit with her, placing a hand on her shoulder making Nami's gaze snap round but was surprised to see Zuko and her cheeks went slightly red.  Zuko knew the feeling of wanting to find his mother and felt he related to Nami in more than one occasion.  He brought Nami in to a hug gently, he led her their for a while.

" Its ok ....... if you want to cry with frustration you can " he said holding her, he knew what she was feeling, fear that they where not their or would not find them, or that they died long ago.  Zuko did not know her parents fate but he was going to support her through it if she found them or not.

Soon the Time came and they all could see and hear the man about to crown Azula " By order of the Phoenix king Ozai ..... I crown you Fire Lord -" he stopped mid way through as Appa came to land

Azula turned her head with a Glare looking at the man crowning her" What are you waiting for ?!? .... Do it !" Azula said as they all could hear it, When Appa landed he made a groan and Azula's head snapped round to see the three of us jump off Appa

" sorry, but you're not going to become Fire Lord today I am" Zuko said as he jumped off Appa dramaticly to land glaring at Azula

Azula laughed at him a moment thinking it was all to funny that Zuko was going to be Fire Lord " You're Hilarious"

" and You are going down" Nami pipped up wanting her presence to be known to Azula standing their scowling at Azula hating her guts now wanting her to go down 

Azula challenged Zuko to an Agni Kai, Nami knew full well what it meant;  she and Katara looked Worried for him.  Was Azula trying to separate them, it wasen't good Azula could really hurt Zuko in a really bad way.

" what are you doing ?!?" Katara said in a loud whisper as she and Nami looked at him " she's playing you, she knows she cant take all three of us on so she's trying to separate us" Katara said and Nami agreed thinking it was not best for him to go it alone

" I know.  but i can take her this time" Zuko said still staring at Azula with a hard glare of hate, he did not want Nami or Katara to get hurt this time

" But Zuko you even admitted to Iroh, that you'd need help when facing Azula" Nami Said looking at him with worry and fear that he was going to get hurt not wanting that to happen

" Their's something off about her.  I cant explain it but she's slipping, this way no one else can get hurt" Zuko said looking at Nami and gave her a slight smile trying to make her not worry about him.

When Katara nodded she took Nami's arm to take her away a little to a safer distance but Nami stood further in than Katara ready in case he needed help, Azula was a crafty and evil one taking someone's weakness against them, and destroy them in any way she can.

the Agnai Kai raged on as Nami watched tears in her eyes, it was something she had never seen a brother and sister fighting to the death. Nami did not like it this fighting; all she wanted is for it to end and Zuko to come out of it unharmed.  the moment the word lighting was mentioned Nami's eyes snapped open, she could see Azula laughing as she was conjuring lighting.

" No" Nami said in a low whisper as she saw Azula's gaze on her and Zuko looking in a panic, one thing she knew when Toph talked bout her self being blind was every movement counts, and Nami didn't want Zuko to be harmed.  yes once she just re-directed but she knew next time she may not be so lucky

Nami's feet ran on their own towards Zuko and Nami ignored the yell from Katara who knew full well what she was doing, she knew she needed to save him, and she needed to get to him in time ?
