Chapter 36 : The invisible demon and the missing princess

In the end, the group are taken to a room where the lord is waiting.
"You wish to assist me in searching for my little sister?" The lord asked,
"Yes, that's correct," Tsukiko said

"You seem like an interesting group," The lord looks at them,
"Yeah and you've got a problem with that?" Inuyasha said
"We can assure you that you can trust us," Tsukiko said
"You are a demon.." The lord said as he looks at Tsukiko,

"Not quite, I am a half demon," Tsukiko said

"Hmm...and what do you want in return, is it gold? Or land? Or perhaps.."
"No my lord, we do not want anything in return," Tsukiko said firmly looking starlight at the lord, the lord's eyes thinned in amusement.

"You seem to have another reason to come here, am I correct?" The lord said
"Yes, We believe that the disappearance of the princess has something to do with what we are searching for, that is all," Tsukiko said

"And what is this object you are searching for?" The lord asked
"That...I cannot tell you," Tsukiko said flashing a smile,
"W-why you-! How dare you speak that way to the lo-!" The man beside the lord was about to draw his sword but the lord stops him,

"My name is Kaito Yoshioka..." The lord gets closer toward Tsukiko "I am looking forward to working with you, half demon,"
"Hmph! Same here," Tsukiko flashes a confident smile,

At the back, both Sesshomaru and Naraku saw the exchange between lord Kaito and Tsukiko, and they both felt uneasy about him.

After their meeting with lord Kaito, They continue their discussion in order to find lord Kaito's sister,
"When was the last time you see her?" Miroku asked,
"This morning I saw my sister going back into her room, that was the last time I saw her," Lord Kaito said
"What about the guards?" Tsukiko asked,
"Well Sango, Kagome and Inuyasha are asking them outside, Sesshomaru and Naraku are both searching around the castle trying to find a clue," Miroku said

Meanwhile,
"Did you sense anything wrong with the princess?" Sango is asking some of the guards,
"W-well, the princess seemed a little cautious around her...it's like she's sneaking around trying not to be seen," One of the guard said
"I see...does she have any connection with someone outside the castle?" Kagome asked,
"Forgive us but we don't know anything about that,"

"Hmmm..." Kagome thought,

"Lord Kaito, if there is anyone she knows outside the castle we need to ask them," It turns out, Tsukiko was asking the same thing toward lord Kaito,
"Actually, there is someone she knows. There's a boy, he and my little have been friends since they were little, but a few months ago he left the village because he's been engaged to a girl outside the village. My little sister was depressed when he left, but after a few days passed since he left, my little sister had been acting strangely." Lord Kaito said

"Strangely how?" Miroku asked,
"She had been going out of the castle often, and came back late at night looking tired. I was quite suspicious but..."
"Why didn't you confronted her about it?" Tsukiko asked,
"......." But lord Kaito just fell silent,
"Unbelievable, what kind of big brother are you?" Tsukiko said

Just then, Sesshomaru and Naraku returns
"It's the work of a demon," Sesshomaru said
"A demon?" Lord Kaito asked, just then Tsukiko felt a breeze coming from Lord Kaito, but she just shakes it off.
"Apparently we encountered it awhile ago, he said that he has the princess with him," Naraku said
