"W-what do you mean?" You were now anchored by confusion. Her face began to flush up as she bit her lip nervously.....

"W-well...monsters have this thing called HP... In the human world, they're normally called Health Points...in the monster world, it's called Hope. Hope is what determines how much health monsters have... Sans...only had 1 HP when he came to the surface."

Everyone murmured in agreement, even Frisk didn't seem to surprised by this, but you...you were frozen in shock. Only one?

"The fact that he survived is amazing...I'm sure he got hit more than his normal '1 HP' bar could handle." Alphys muttered. She then flinched at the continuous stares from everyone else and started shaking her head nervously. "I-I'm sorry! I was just...thinking out loud."

You just forced a smile in response.

"(Y/n) and Sans, sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-"

"Shut up, Flowey." You spat at the flower, feeling your cheeks blush in response. You found yourself sitting on the cool floor of Gaster's lab. It felt like it's been awhile since you've been here even though you did come the night before. The potted plant was swaying tauntingly next to you and Gaster was watching over a video clip farther off. He paused it and turned to you.

"Hello, (y/n)." He smiled. Something about him seemed off...maybe a little less soft?

"Hello, Gaster." You mumbled as he made his way towards you, offering his hand to pull you up. You accepted and allowed him to help you stand upright.

"It seems your 'defect' is a lot stronger when provoked." He stated and picked up a nearby clipboard. Nodding, he started to read his notes."Especially when it's about the people you love."

He set the clipboard onto another lone table and glanced at you.

"Yeah...?" You asked, raising an eyebrow in suspicion. "Is that bad?"

"No, not at all-"

"Okay, boneface!" Flowey butted into the conversation with an irritated tone. "Just tell her that the comedian's your son!"

"Wait, what?!" You yelped, wide-eyed from the sudden news. You looked up at Gaster in disbelief as he sighed and nodded. "WHAT?!"

Flowey chuckled at your reaction. "So...now can I talk to her?" His tone was arrogant as he plastered on a confident smile.

"Yes, you may." Gaster grumbled and turned to you. "No training for a while. You'll need rest for a couple of days." He slipped you a friendly smile to mask his nervousness and teleported away. The flower then coughed to get your attention.

"Hey, idiot!" The plant spat as you looked down at him.

"Huh?"

"Put me up on the table!"

You did as you were told and lifted the pot onto the metal surface.

"Finally..." The flower grumbled and glanced at you. "You really don't understand what's happening here, do you?"

You shot him a dirty look. "There's more?"

"Yes, idiot! Do you not realize how critical you are to the future of not only monsters, but humans too?" He paused, looking up at you expecting an answer.

"No-"

"Yeah, I didn't think so." Flowey blurted and straightened out his petals. "Look. You are one of the last remaining magicians left in this world. Yeah, that 'defect' of your's, is really one of the remaining keys to banishing the monsters back to the underground."

You stayed silent as you started to recall the voice from the alley mention something about magicians. Slowly, you pieced together the pieces of information, feeling the stupidity start to well up inside you.

"You need to protect yourself out there, make sure that they can't use you. They do have spells to take control over your mind, you know that right?"

You shook your head. The flower sighed out of annoyance.

"Gaster really hasn't told you anything. He's too soft..." The flower growled. "...but maybe now that you're in love with the comedian, he'll roughen up."

"If there's so much happening, why don't you just tell me now?" You snapped at him, causing him to chuckle.

"There's no time. You'll wake up and you'll forget to tell anyone what's happening anyways."

"How do you know that?"

"I know that you wouldn't. You don't want to bother anyone. Not with who you really are. Heh. Until next time, (y/n)." Flowey smiled.
