I raised both my eyebrows. Parker has a twin sister? Or even a sibling? My thoughts drifted to my younger twin sisters. What a coincidence.
"Hi," I slowly shook her hand, unsure of what to say.
"You must be Parker's mate, am I correct?" She asked as she turned back to the fridge and pulled out a can of soda. I nodded my head as I took a seat at the bar. She came and stood at the other side of the bar. She snatched some of my bacon earning a glare from me.
"If you're wondering why I'm here, I came because I heard that Parker found his mate and I wanted to see her myself," she stated, answering my unasked question. Her green eyes were much more cheerful than Parker's and I could tell that she is most likely the opposite of Parker.
I nodded my head,."Yeah, he's..." I trailed off not know what to say. Peyton chuckled as she watched me try to come up with something.
"An asshole?" She finished while raising and eyebrow. I let out a small laugh, one that I haven't let out in a while since I was back home.
"Yeah." She continued to stare at me but didn't say anything. She didn't even try to hide the fact that she was.
I continued eating trying to ignore her stare. "What?" I finally asked through a mouth full of food.
"Are you happy? Has he marked you yet?" She answered me with questions.
I looked down at my plate and slowly shook my head. "I rejected him," I said quietly not wanting to look up, instead I looked at my wrists which now had nice purple bruises on them.
She gasped as she say the bruises on my wrists, "He did this to you?" She took my hands and observed the bruises while her eyes were wide with shock. I slowly nodded my head but spoke before she could say anything, "He was angry at me for disrespecting him. He was just gripping them to hard." I scowled at the memory.
Peyton glanced up at me before letting go of my hands. "Is this why you rejected him?" I shook my head 'no'.
"I rejected him because he only wants me for my body," I responded before adding quietly, "I'm also afraid of commitment." Anger flashed across her face and her nose flared.
"That asshole! Wait till I get my hands on him. He knows that's no way to treat your mate! What was he thinking? I'm going to beat him up. Forget about him being Alpha," she snapped as she crushed the can in her hand and threw it away in the pull out trash can in the bottom cabinet.
"There might be a reason?" I suggested and she shrugged it off.
"A lot of things has happened to him in his past," she said once she calmed down. Her eyes now held sadness and my eyebrows furrowed. Her emotions changed quickly. "Maybe he'll open up to you if you just give him a chance to explain. He isn't all just cold-hearted, there is still a small little soul in there with the same emotions as all of us. He's just really good at hiding them. He needs someone like you in his dark life. There is still light somewhere in there."
I stared at her not knowing what to say. She wants me to give him another chance? I have had enough of his bullshit, I don't want to deal with it anymore. I'm curious to know what happened to him but its not my place to ask her instead of Parker.

"So there is a party tomorrow night and I would like you to come with me," Peyton said as we were watching TV in the living room. She spent the whole day with me which surprised me. I guess I've got a new friend. Turns out we are very similar. We have the same taste in guys, we both like the same music and shows, we both like to eat. The list could go on. She and Sarina would get a long great.
