Michael: Spiders

"Mikey?" I squeaked into the phone. "How far away are you?"

"Uh, we just left the studio a little bit ago... Maybe 15 minutes? Why? Is something wrong?

"There's a spider in the hotel room."

He laughed softly into the speaker.

"Michael!" I cried. "I'm scared! Don't laugh at me!"

"I'm sorry babe!" he laughed. "It's just funny... It's just a little spider."

"It is not little, Michael."

He chuckled, "I've heard you say that before."

"Not the time, Clifford."

I could picture him rolling his eyes now.

"The boy and I will be back at the hotel soon and then I can come kill the big, scary spider."

"Michael! Stop being a dick!"

"Sorry! I'll be there soon, I promise."

Michael arrived back at the hotel very soon and he looked around, "Alright where's the massive spider at?"

I pointed down at the floor by the bed where a large brown spider was at.

"Oh, shit, that's big," he muttered.

"Yeah I know!" I yelled, throwing a pillow at him.

"Hey! Don't hit me!" he laughed. He looked down at the spider, "Fuck, I don't even know how to kill that thing."

"Michael, please! I'm actually really scared right now."

Tears pricked at my eyes as I desperately was concerned for my safety.

"C'mon," he held out his hand to me. "Let's go into Luke's room and call the front desk and have them come do something."

"I'm not walking as long as that thing is on the floor!"

He sighed, pulling me closer to him and scooping me up in his arms, swiftly carrying me out of our hotel room, banging on Luke's door next to us.

Luke opened up, confusion clear on his face as Michael pushed past him, setting me down on the bed and proceeding to call the front desk.

Luke: Storms

I had 4 missed calls from my husband. It was one of the worst storms I had ever experienced in my life. I had joined the boys on tour in America, and currently it was hailing, thundering, raining, and lightning outside. While waiting backstage at the venue, the storm started. It only took a minute before I had run down to the basement of the venue, thinking it was the safest place to be, where the tour buses were parked for the night until the show ended. I was now huddled on a couch in our bus with a blanket pulled over my head as a "shield." I was crying, wishing Luke were here right now to keep me safe.

Storms were my biggest fear, and right now I felt as if I was going mental.

On the 5th call, I finally answered, pulling the phone to my ear underneath the blanket "shield."

"Y/N? Thank god, you finally answered. Baby, are you okay?"

"I mean, I'm not dead," I whispered. "But I'm scared... Really, really scared."

My voice was weak and soft.

"Oh, god, okay sweetie where are you at?"

"The bus."

I heard him yell something to someone off to the side.

"Okay, okay, I'm coming there now. I saw it was storming outside and you were missing and I freaked out."

"I got scared," I mumbled.

"I know, baby, I know. But you don't need to be scared anymore, alright? I'll be right by your side in 2 seconds."

There was a short moment of silence before I spoke up. "Luke?"

"Yes, baby?"

"I love you."

I could hear the smile in his voice, "I love you, too."

Outside the bus, I could hear his fast steps echo off the pavement in the nearly empty garage.

I didn't say anything else, and soon the door to the bus opened.

"There you are," he whispered.

I pulled the blanket off my head and instantly attached to his side.

"I'm scared."

"I know. I'm here. You're safe with me."

He repeated these words over and over again, holding onto me as tight as he could, until the storm stopped and I fell asleep.
