Chapter Thirty Two

Start from the beginning

The entire size was a little bigger than your own torso, but that was to your relief because you knew that your skeleton was in fact, larger than yourself. The color was almost exact to his original and the hood had fluff around the ends. The pockets were enormous, which fitted his "putting hands in pockets" habit. To make things even better, there weren't any logos on it. This caused you to bubble in excitement as you unhooked the perfect jacket and rushed to get the rest of your items. After doing so, you placed it onto the cashier register and started to fumble out the roll of cash.

"You find everything okay?" She asked through her chewing gum. You nodded and started counting out the dollars, finding that most of them were fives. She then started to scan and charge you for all your items. When she lifted the jacket, she rose to ask you a question.

"This is a nice jacket. Who's it for? " She held a smile and carefully straightened out the torso. "Dad? Brother? Boyfriend?"

"Well..." You chuckled, secretly freaking out. "It'd be lying if I said none of those."

"Boyfriend. Heh." She chuckled and folded it nicely. "Hard to find relationships in times like these."

"Really?" This perked up your interest. She nodded and smiled sadly.

"My own broke up with me over the whole monster deal, but it's whatever."

"Oh, I'm sorry that happened."

"It's alright. You want a bag?"

"Sure."

She nodded and stuffed your items into your bag.

"That it?"

"No actually." You laughed and looked around for a map. After picking one out, you unfolded it and pointed to the secluded road that Gaster had pointed to earlier. "My crew and I need to get here by tonight. Any idea how to?"

She nodded.

"Quite easy actually." She quickly explained how to get to your destination, which allowed you to quickly thank her and make your way towards the exit. Before you turned to leave, she called you back to the desk and handed you the map.

"Oh?" You asked in surprise and accepted the slip of paper. She let out a grin.

"I know you got monsters in that RV of yours. Personally, I want them legalized so, you better make it safe with 'em. Okay?"

Your eyes widened in surprise as you placed a questioning look upon your face.

"But, I read a sign outside your store-"

"Ahhh, that's my dad. He's a little stubborn, but I'm different. I welcome anybody. But anyways, I wish you luck." She waved goodbye as you made you way out.

"Oh. Well, I wish you good luck too!" You replied and started your way to the car, excited to show your skeleton his little gift. Jumping into the RV, you handed Alphys the trail mix and water. You then sat yourself next to Sans, who had decided to take a nap on one of the side seats.

"Hey, Sansy-pooh." You chirped and poked him between his eyes, causing him to blink himself awake.

"Yeah, Fruitloop?"

"Look what I got you." You giggled and slid out the neat jacket. The first thing you saw on his face was shock. His eyes were wide open and his mouth was partially open too, making him look adorable. Quickly, his face melted into happiness as he reached out towards the jacket, taking it into his own hands.

You heard a 'click' in the background, causing you to turn around to see who would attempt to ruin such a perfect moment. You saw none other than Flowey. He had this grin on his face as he flipped the camera to Frisk. By now, you realized that everyone was watching the little moment, which caused you to blush in embarrassment. You felt some movement next to you, which was Sans standing up to slip on the jacket, and...oh my shit. Can a jacket make someone look really cute- er, hot?

The jacket was practically made for him. The fluff on the hood was enough to cover the back of his neck, and his hands were already nestled into the huge pockets. His figure seemed to have brightened up by ten just by a fricken jacket.

"(y/n)." Sans breathed out with a smile that was pretty much stuck on his face as he pulled you towards him. Expecting a hug, you accepted his embrace, but you felt something pressed against your own lips. Hot chills ran down the back of your head, all the way down to your tailbone, only for them to run all the way back up again. Pulling away from the sudden connection, you found Sans and yourself a blushing mess. His face was covered in blue, while your's was red. Your mind was cloudy from the sudden gesture, as it tried to register what had happened. Awkwardness was starting to press and choke the both of you as you adverted your eyes away from him. This seemed to have gotten your ears to finally function.

The sound of giggles and a couple teasing remarks reached your ears, but your brain wasn't close to translating the useless rubbish. All it was trying to do was get away from the humiliation and the first thing that came to mind was a question.

"You like the jacket?" You managed to choke out and return your glance to him. Your face was still hot with blush; it was starting to ache from the sudden heat. His was just as blue, only he was a little more jittery.

"Y-yeah. Love it." He seemed lost for words as the awkward atmosphere seemed to have closed against you both even harder. Taking in a deep breath, you tried to organize your thoughts. All you could recall was you giving him the jacket and then him giving you a hug. You then felt something on your lips and you pushed yourself away, but why would you do that? Completely unnecessary.

What's sad is the fact that it took you this long to realize it. It slapped you hard when you realized what Sans did. Idiocy and stupidity filled your lungs as you blinked in understanding. He kissed you. That's what happened. He pressed his teeth against your lips.

At the thought of it, jolts ran up your spine. Heat began to run through your cheeks and arms, except this time, you understood what he did. Again, your mind started to frantically look for ways to get out of the situation and the first thing you said was regretted immediately.

"Heh, you'd imagine the first kiss would be more magical." You muttered nervously. "Considering that in the movies, they're always perfect."

Why the fuck would you say that?

"Guess that's why they call some things picture perfect." Sans smiled out of embarrassment, causing you both to giggle and lessen the blow of awkwardness. Everyone around you just smiled to each other, giggling or chuckling here and there. Papyrus let out a groan in disgust and returned to the driver seat to escape the horrid pun. The only one who actually acknowledged the event was Flowey, who held no shame whatsoever.

"Speaking of pictures..." He held a devilish grin and held up the camera. "I got a perfect shot!"

"Good Lord, I'm going to kill you." Sans growled.

By nightfall, both you and Sans had finally found stable ground after the whole "first kiss" thing. You managed to talk to him without feeling the pangs of awkwardness nip at you, but sleeping together was just not going to work. He couldn't really take it either, so you both mumbled around a bit and eventually found yourselves comfortable just sleeping back to back.
