He slowly took his hands off my mouth. Almost unsure if he should do that or not.
“A pack,” I began. “Is a term used for animals, and not humans,” I stated almost brutally.
He looked down as if insulted. “Yes,” he answered. “You’re right. We aren’t humans.”
I waited for him to finish his sentence, but I knew he couldn’t. So I did. “Because you and everyone else are werewolves.”
He looked up again at me shocked but also curiously.
“How did you?” he started asking.
“I know because I’ve seen you in my dreams,” I said to him.
“I've see you multiple times in my dreams. In my dreams, I don’t seem to have control of myself. I am drawn to you like a magnet is to another magnet. I want to protect you and love you like a mother wolf loves her cubs.”
He looked stunned as I talked. I guess that’s my effect on him.
I continued on, “I never saw your face until I think the night before I came here to Toronto.” He slowly listened and I could see in his eyes understanding and almost longing. Longing for what? I wasn’t sure. “When I saw your face, I also saw you shift from werewolf to human.”
“You’re right,” he answered. “I am a wolf.”
He took my petite hands into his giant hands which enveloped it completely. “My family is a wolf. My pack is living here in this very hotel. I am their leader, their Alpha. We are the Red Moon Pack.”
I took in this information slowly, but somehow my heart already knew all this information. It was just being found after years of being stored away in a box far inside my closet. My mind wiped off the dust of that box and accepted what Daniel said was true.
I wanted to hug him and kiss him for some strange reason.
But there was something else that was bothering me.
The image of Nickolas and Daniel’s wolf appeared in my mind in a vivid almost real-life memory.
He saw my face change from accepting to demanding again. I could see in his eyes fear.
“How do you know Nickolas?” I asked. It was more in a demanding tone, but I had to know why I saw them together in my dream, or rather, my nightmare from reality.
I could feel Daniel’s hands shiver at the mention of Nickolas. He looked down.
“Please,” I asked. This time more in a sweet tone. “I need to know. I was in love with Nickolas before he died, and I saw him die in front of me.”
Daniel’s head perked up and I could see the range of emotions take place. From anger to disappointment to shock to confused to bewilderment and finally, to acceptance.
“Please tell me, Daniel,” I almost begged him.
“Nickolas and his family belonged to my pack. They moved to the west promising to return after some years, and they did,” he didn’t dare look me in the eye, but he continued on and I listened quietly.
“Nickolas kept saying he had to go back, and it was a must. My father, the Alpha at the time, would not allow him to leave the pack again.
“After some time, Nickolas went crazy and his parents released him from confinement and let him go loose. He left the pack territory and ran towards the west.”
I could feel tears rising out from my eyes.
“My father, his beta, third in command and a few others followed him. Quickly, tracing his path towards Calgary.” He looked up at me and I could feel the desperation for me to understand him and not to get mad at what he would say next. But I knew.

Werewolf“Felicia,” he began. I didn’t know why he looked so desperately upset. He shouldn’t be upset. I should be, because somehow Mrs. Audrian’s pack had hurt mine and Daniel was part of this so called “pack.” Pack? Why did she say pack before? “Please-”...
