Chapter 8 "Light appeared"

"You're in a good mood today Lady Iris." Renie observed.

"My mother said that I should enjoy my youthful life now. So I'm doing my best to change for the better. Um, I wanted to visit Mirai in the Sumeragi Mansion after class can we go there?" asked Iris.

"As you wish my Lady. I'll tell Mistress Claire about this. But it's unusual for you to go there. And that will be the first time." said Renie, who was parking the limousine at the University's parking lot.

"I wanted to surprise Mirai. I know that she hasn't fully recovered because of what had happened. So I wanted to visit their mansion" said Iris.

Renie went out of the car and opened the limousine's door for Iris.

"Thanks Renie." said Iris.

"It's my pleasure Lady Iris. Please enjoy the school" said the servant who bowed down in respect.

Iris left him and headed to her designated room. The school bell rang, signaling that start of the first class. Iris hurried to make sure that she will not be late for her first class for the new semester. Her first subject will be Sociology and the room will be at the third floor Sociology building.

As she entered the room, she was still unprepared to socialize with other people but she was trying her best to make new friends. Just when she was about to approach one of the students she heard something that made her decide to not to do it instead.

"Did you know that the girl with golden hair is the daughter of the Eirlenhive noble family?" said the first student.

"Yes. And I've heard that she never even talk to her classmate last school year." said the second student.

"I think she is good and nice." said the other one.

"Lower your voice she might hear us" said the other one.

Iris decided to sit at the corner of the room near the window since she doesn't want to hear another fuss about her. At last the professor finally came inside the laboratory.

"Starting today I'm in charge of this class." said the professor. "And before I forget," he pointed the guy who was standing beside him. "this guy will also a member of this class. He is Sora Sumeragi." he said while fixing his teaching materials. "Now young man, don't just stand there we need to discuss a lot of things for today. Sit beside that lonely girl near the corner." He said while pointing at Iris.

Iris was a bit surprise as she look at the professor's face. Sora headed towards his seat and then sat beside Iris.

"Hello, I'm Sora Sumeragi. A Japanese." said Sora

Iris just nodded at him and smiled at him.

"You do know how to talk, right?" asked Sora,

Iris kept on ignoring Sora, she didn't know that Sora is the little brother of Mirai and Aoi and belongs to the Sumeragi household. It was a normal thing since there are lots of foreign exchange students in the University and Sumeragi is a popular surname in Japan.

"I think I'm stuck with some weird seatmate." muttered Sora to himself.

"Now since we're even in number and each of you has your own seatmate, I decided to make a buddy system in my class. So smile and become friends with your seat mate for they will be your partner until the end of this semester." said the professor. "Take note I will not entertain any complaints about this one." he added.
