"W-what happened?" I say in a strained voice.

"I can't explain over the phone, can you come here?" she says as she completes crying heavily.

"Yeah, yeah, I am coming right now." I say as I get up. She hangs up and I throw on some sweatpants and stay in my pajama T-shirt.

"Noah, what's wrong?" June asks as I get my phone and wallet and motorcycle keys.

"Alexa, she's in the hospital for some unknown reason, I gotta go." I say as I start towards the stairs.

"Wait, Noah!" June says. I turn to her with a worried expression. "Be careful." She says as she gives me a quick hug.

"Tell mom I went to visit Zach, okay?" I say as I hug her back tightly, she nods at me and I smile quickly before rushing down the stairs and towards the garage where my motorcycle was there. I quickly hope in it then going out of the garage and towards the hospital.

What the hell happened?

Did she have something?

I know about her migraines, she had been taking pain killers on the road trip.

Did it become too hard to handle or something?

The hospital arrives to my view and I park quickly before hopping off the motorcycle and rushing towards the reception.

"Alexa Gray?" I ask the woman working there.

"The 4th floor, room 381." She says, not looking up from her computer. I rush towards the elevator and in a matter of seconds I was in the 4th floor, running in the corridor.

"Noah?" I hear Z's voice call. I halt to a stop as her tear stained face get in my vision.

"Hello." I say in a distressed tone. She comes over at me and pats my shoulder.

"How is she? What happened?" I say. Zoë sighs as she takes my arm and leads me into the waiting room. She forces me to sit on the chair and stands up in front of me.

"Promise you won't be sad or anything from her, she didn't mean for any of this to happen." She says as she looks at me worriedly.

"What? Zoë, if you're not talking in the next 5 minutes, I am gonna go and ask a doctor myself." I say. She starts pacing in front of me as she takes a shaky breath in.

"Look, Alexa, as you can see, has been feeling tired. Really tired. She hid it well but she was always tired this whole entire time. She went to do a doctor visit check and he, well, the doctor told her, um, that she, ugh." She groans at the end.

"Told her what, Zoë?" I say, getting annoyed by her babbling.

"He said it was cancer." She says as her eyes fill with tears again. I look at her as if she had 2 heads.

"What? Of course not, if she did have cancer, she would've got the treatment." I say with a shrug. Zoë looks at me in disbelief.

"She didn't, you shithead! She didn't because she thought it was too much of an expense, that's why she made that stupid bet with you, so she could enjoy these days." She says as a tear falls down her cheek.

"What? No, no, no, no. This gotta be some sick joke, is Zach here filming with his phone?" I say as I get up. She just shakes her head and sits down, putting her head in her hands. I put my hands in my hair, running them through it.

I can't believe this is happening, no, no, no, this can't be happening at all!

She can't die.

She can't leave me here.

I sit down and put my head in my hands as tears gather in my eyes.

She saved me and I can't save her.

That thought made me cry. Tears slipped out of my eyes like a waterfall. Zoë pats my back slightly.

"What happened?" I say in a strained voice.

"She collapsed." Zoë says as she sighs deeply. "She started puking and she had a heavy nose bleed. God, you should've seen her these couple days; she's been a total mess. She didn't eat nor drink anything and by the looks of it she didn't sleep as well." She adds. I look up with a tear stained face.

"When did this happen?" I say.

"Yesterday, when things settled down I thought I could tell you, you have the right to know anyways." She says as she crosses her arms in front of her chest.

"Can I see her?" I say. Zoë nods and shows me the directions towards the room.

"No one is inside, you've 10 minuets before Derek checks on her again. Only family allowed inside. Get there quickly and then run." She says. I smile at her gratefully before turning the knob and getting inside. Alexa was lying on the bed, different machines hooked up to her, her chest was moving up and down as she breathes. She looked so pale and had dark circles under her eyes. I reach her slowly and sit beside her, grabbing her hand.

"Whatever you do, please don't leave now." I whisper.

Don't leave me was what I actually wanted to say.
