Chapter 5- Fragile hearts

A woman places the plate down that has a ham and tomato sandwich sitting on it, she bows and walks away.

I look at it strangely, "you eat it Lily."

"I'm not a complete idiot," I snap.

I pick it up and start biting into it, he watches me and I look up at him, "aren't you going to leave?"

"I'm making sure you eat it all," I huff angrily biting the bread.

I finish my first sandwich and pick up the second one, I'm so full. I put it down and he growls, "eat it," I look at him.

"I'm full though," I whisper.

"If I have to shove it down your throat I will, the doctor specifically said for you to eat as much as you can," I pick it up and bite into it slowly.

With much trouble I finish and slide the plate towards him, "Don't you have a man to get back to and abuse?" he picks it up with a scowl and walks away ignoring my comment.

I stand up shouting, "you really need to get a tv installed!"

For some strange reason I believe that he won't hurt me.

I know, I'm crazy.

The body guard from yesterday knocks on the wall and I gesture for him to come in, "hello Luna, how are you?!" He chirps.

"G-good how are you?" I ask.

"Good, good," he smiles.

"Uh, do you need anything?" He shakes his head.

"I just was checking up on my Luna and to let you know that you won't be seeing me anymore." I nod.

"Thanks," I don't bother to ask him why, he sends me a smile then walks out with a 'bye Luna!'

I hear a growl and I sigh, preparing for his wrath.

He sniffs the air his eyes turning black, "why does your room smell like another man?" He asks with clenched teeth.

Before I'm given the chance to reply he pushes me against the wall snarling in my face, "YOU'RE MINE!"

"You don't even want me," I boldly say.

He glares at me, "stop putting words in my mouth."

"My bodyguard came to see if I was alright, unlike my own mate," I spit.

"Li-" I cut him off.

"Please just leave me alone. It's hard enough knowing you don't like me," he rolls his eyes and walks out stone cold.

I rest my head back against the wall and look at the non existent door, he doesn't deserve love.

He is a terrible person.

'Don't say that,' I roll my eyes.

'It's the truth,' she blocks me out truly angry.

I don't want to be stuck in this house, I walk out of my room, downstairs and out the door. I walk up to a clearing and look down, it's a massive hill.

I start walking down feeling numb to every emotion I should be feeling, I stop and sit down bringing my knees to my chest.

"Nice view isn't it?" I gasp and swallow the lump in my throat.

I don't answer him, I keep my eyes focused on the green trees. "Look at me!" He bellows.

I timidly look at him, "y-your not real. Your not real!" He grabs my wrist roughly pulling me to him.

His scent wafts into my nose and I recoil back in disgust, "I will be back for you Lily, you might want to be in the view of your mate because he will be the only person that can protect you," he growls.

"Why but him?" I ask.

"He's the alpha of doom for a reason."

"H-he will know you're here," I stutter.

He smirks, "if you dare say a thing," he smacks me and I fall on the ground.

I watch as he walks down the hill and my vision becomes hazy, my eyes shut on their own accord and I lay there alone in the woods now succumbing to the darkness.

I feel arms around me lifting me off the ground, tingles awaken me from all drowsiness and I open my eyes to see my mate.

As if sensing me looking at him he looks at me his eyes black, my eyes widen and I whimper aloud.

"Why were you out here?"

"I-I umm, I didn't want to stay inside," I whisper.

"You need to ask me."

"I don't want to come outside again," I whisper to myself.

"And why not?" Damn wolf hearing!

"B-because I don't l-like it," I lie.

"Your heart beat has risen, you're lying to me," he says looking straight ahead, "did you know the whole pack was out looking for you because no one could find you, your scent was faint but I found you."

I gulp and look ahead as well, "tell me Lily." I want to tell him, I do. Maybe if I do tell him in a secret way alpha Jones won't punish me. Or maybe if I tell him, alpha Jones won't know at all; he could've been lying. I want Luca to know that I'm scared, that I need him but I can't tell him.

"I- I can't."

"And why not?"

"Because he said so," I whisper. Luca needs to know somehow. He needs to know that I'm in danger so he can help me, I can't be completely stubborn.

"Who said so?" He asks stopping and looks down at me. "Who?"

"The devil," I whisper, as long as I'm with him I'm safe right?

"And who's the devil Lily?" He asks lowly.

"Michael. Michael Jones."

Well I wonder how Luca is going to react, he surely would be furious.
