Chapter 12

Then I heard the pink haired girl speak from behind Kirito, reminding me we weren't alone. "So... Who's this?" She asked, eyeing Kirito up and down.
"Um... This is my... Good friend, Kirito." I replied, not sure on what to call him, finally settling on 'good friend.'
"OK! Now (YN), we need to do a certain boss fight to get the materials to finish this sword." Lizbeth said and I nodded, wary about the blonde and brunette children who were sitting in two wooden chairs in the corner of the room.
"Will I really have to do two boss fights in one day?" Kirito asked playfully.
"Yes, now Liz, where is this boss, me and Kirito can-" She cuts me off.
"You can't go alone, a blacksmith is required to attend of you can't receive the item." She countered and I gave in. Lizbeth went behind her store, probably to go and get some supplies or something to take with her.

I was left alone in the shop with Kirito, Max and Liv. The siblings were chatting away in the corner they were seated in. "What are you doing here?" Asked Kirito curiously.
"N-nothing!" I said, trying to convince him. He just raised his eyebrow.
"You expect me to believe you?" He asked smirking.
"Fine! I was getting new weapons for Max and Liv." I mean it wasn't a whole lie, I was getting Max and Liv new weapons but I was also getting one for the both of us as well, though Kirito wasn't supposed to know that.
"If that's what you say." He replied, his tone sounded like he didn't believe me.

After a while we were ready and heading to the bosses room. Apparently the boss was called Akumu. It Was supposedly quite weak, so we wouldn't have any trouble. As wen went into the deserted room, we saw torches lining the walls and saw a beast in front of us. It had at least six arms, each, a different camouflage  coloured pattern. It's long body looked like a snake, scales lining it, all either black, grey, green or white. I looked at its health and saw three bars. 'So it's not too deadly.' I thought.
"You two, go near the door. If it calls for it, use these and teleport to the town of beginnings. We'll find you, OK?" Kirito said, handing each of them a blue teleport crystal. They nodded gently and the hyper pinkette stood nearby. Kirito and myself turned to each other and he kissed my cheek before nodding at me, we both knew what to do, attack on sync, use our skills wisely and with that we started attacking.

I sped towards the disgusting beast, whipping my sword at on of its six legs. It cut it straight in half and I felt the urge to suddenly throw up rise. It was absolutely grotesque. However, I carried on, i couldn't let this stop me. It was what I had to do and sometimes the things you have to do aren't the best.

Due to my lack of concentration, I felt my body slam into the floor, collapsing breathless, I was paralysed, unable to move. I groaned but I couldn't do anything. My sword had flew away from me, landing at least a few feet away from me. 'This... This is the end of me." I thought, wanting to take this as lightly as possible. Akumu was nearing. Me, stopping a few feet away. That's when I made a mistake and looked directly into his eyes. My eyes closed, but I wasn't dead, but where was I?

*Dream/Nightmare*

My eyes opened and there I saw a scaly creature, that kinda looked like the monster that I was just fighting. It growled and hissed, acid and poison spilling from its mouth. On the back of the mutation ad a creature was evil blonde that I have hated for, well a long time now. Asuna. She was cackling. Laughing like a madman might be a better way to explain her condition. The poison was filling the room, meanwhile the acid was burning, everything that touched it disintegrating. That's when I managed to make out another figure with Asuna. She had (HL), (HC) hair, and (EC) eyes. It was me. I was joining Asuna, helping her commit her crimes-

*Dream/Nightmare Over*

Kirito was hovering over me, looking at me concerned. I was panting hard, my chest rising and falling quickly. "You feeling OK?" He asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Yeah I-" I tried to say but was cut of by Kirito. Not by words but by his lips. I sighed into the kiss, not wanting it to end.
"Ahem... Sorry for interrupting, but we should probably get going now." Liz interrupted. I pulled away from Kirito hurriedly. My face was flushed, embarrassment shown evidently on my face.

I had the four swords I requested and paid Liz the requested amount. Max and Liv had their daggers. Max's had and cross on the top of the handle and Liv's was a normal black blade. The swords I asked for for me and Kirito were heavier and larger than the daggers. Kirito's was black, light grey lines were outlining the details and the outside of the blade. Mine however was lighter than his, and (FC). It was specifically used for speed and increased damage rating, if you used it the correct way, which had been showed to me by Liz.

We were in an inn, Liv and Max had gone to sleep and I was sat at the desk in my room. I felt the need to do something I enjoyed and hummed the opening to one of my favourite songs, 'Kiss it better.'

"He sits in his cell,

Now he sits behind prison bars,
25 to life and she's not in his arms.
He couldn't bring her back with a bullet to the heart

'Why is love so complicated?' I asked myself.
