Chapter 16- Scream Lily, scream

"He can't bear it" Luca says and I scrunch my eyebrows together in confusion.

"Who's he? And what can't he bear?" I ask.

"My wolf- Tane can't bear seeing you without a mark and walking around in front of perverted males" he growls.

I frown "since when have you cared?" I ask.

He shrugs "I don't, my wolf does. He's the one that wants you" he gruffly says and I push away from his grip.

"Let go of me" I say when I can't get out of his grip, he shakes his head no.

"No can do sweetheart."

"Please" I whisper and he sighs releasing me.

I squirm away and turn the opposite direction from him, I don't want to look at him. That hurt me a lot, words are more worse then actions.

And those words hurt a lot, do I deserve this sort of pain? I've done nothing wrong and I've been given this.

I close my eyes and let sleep take over

Lucas pov.
I watch as my mate curls into my arms, the tingles spreading around my arms.

I never wanted a mate, they make you weak. Then enemies go after your mate and you break, my father was a bit of a weak one.

I cannot afford to be weak, that's one thing I cannot be.

I was always taught that if you have a weakness your enemies will go after it to try and break you, but I was also taught that I should love my mate and family and fellow pack members.

But I can't, it's simply impossible for me to do so.

I cannot risk Lily being hurt more, she's broken. She thinks that I can fix her but I cannot, I'm a demon myself.

So I can't help her with her demons if I am too one, how could I do that?

She's been bought up with the idea that mates are loving, kind, caring and compassionate towards their mates but I'm not.

When they got my mother I realised that you're enemies are gaining knowledge about you so they can hurt you.

My mother was killed by my fathers passionate and loving love towards her, the sky fall pack came and took her because they wanted power over father.

Dad went crazy, he stopped doing pack work all he did was search and search for her.

When he found her she was tied, silver chains around her burning her skin and blood everywhere.

She died.

Soon after dad died, I never killed him. Who kills their own parents? I may be cold, ruthless and cruel but one thing I wouldn't do is hurt family.

I especially wouldn't hurt my mate

But I would hurt anyone who hurts her, somehow no matter how much I try to block the bond it never works.

She crawls her way into my heart making it so much harder to stay away from her, how can I?

Her strawberry blonde hair, green hazel eyes, pale skin and thick pink lips have my full attention always.

I just simply cannot stay away from her
Lily's pov.
"Hey Lils!" Storm grins waving at me, I give her a small smile.

"H-hey."

"You okay?" She asks and I nod, she crosses her arms over her chest.
"Tell me" I smile and shake my head.

"Honestly, nothing's wrong" I reply.
