Chapter 11: The Ametria

Yes, I'm referring to them as the enemy.

I walked quietly behind Jinx, making sure my every step could not be heard. Then, a very loud crunching noise came from under me. I looked down to see a dead leaf, now ripped into shreds.

".......CRAP."

"Over there!" A man pointed to us, and the entire army looked.

"Damn it! C'mon Zim, run!" Bullets and grenades were being thrown our way, destroying the trees and leaving fire. I should've changed my shoes when I had the chance...

Jinx started shooting at the men, making them fall on the ground. I grabbed my pistol with my gloved hand and did the same. Holy crap, this felt empowering!

She stopped behind a black shed and waited a little before checking the outside. "Alright, they're gone for now. We're gonna walk slowly and silently and if we get caught, shoot. Got it?"

"Got it."

We crept out silently and hid behind a tree before checking again. We ran across the ground, still being quieter than ever. With a normal voice, Jinx said "Yeah. They went across the border to find us, most likely."

"Why would they think we're on the other side of the planet?"

"You'd be surprised at how often transporting is used here. Now, let's go look for Dib." We started walking along the edge of the black street, hoping the enemy wouldn't see us. Out of nowhere, my chest started hurting and my legs felt as if they had no control. "J-Jinx... My c-chest..."

She stopped walking and looked at me seriously.

"What is it, Zim?"

"My legs... And my chest... It hurts.."

Her eyes grew wider and her face became more serious.

"The Ametria is near."

"How can you tell?"

"You've made physical contact with Dib, correct?"

"Yes."

"Physical contact with the Ametria leaves a connection between both people. Your body hurts, therefore he must be near."

"Dib! We need to find him fast!"

I ran as far as my skinny legs could take me, then stopped at a place where it looked liked Hell lived in. Broken glass and metal pieces, pointy chunks of wood, and few blown up buildings were everywhere. I looked everywhere and stopped my eyes on a pale unconcious body on the floor.

Dear God...

It was Dib.

"No!"

I screamed as I ran to the body on the ground. His face had slashes of dry blood, his arms still with fresh bleeding cuts, clothes all ripped and hair with bits of dirt in it.

This can't be... I can't believe it.... The one person I cared about that maybe could've cared about me back looking as dead as ever.

"Dib! Wake up, please! We need you to be alive, I need you to be alive..." I shook him by the shoulders over and over. It was no use..... He was dead.

"I-I'm so sorry..." Jinx patted my shoulder, looking down at the body with tears on his face. Why Dib, why...

Sounds of wiring and machines came from behind us.

"Surrender, fiends!" A computerized voice yelled through a megaphone. "Zim. Don't do anything, just stand up silently and turn around with your hands up. Follow my lead." I did exactly what she told me to do, wondering what the hell could've been worse right now.

2 very large men jumped from the tall robot and walked in our direction, taking our hands behind our backs with one hand and examining our faces with the other.

A white figure came floating down from the robot as well, gracefully floating in a white suit and white mask covering the face. She took of the mask and suit to reveal a curvy white body and beautiful face with light blue eyes and long white hair pulled back into a thick braid. Who is this woman? She bent down to examine Dib's face, looking at every detail he hid in it.

"Well done. I see you've done my job for me."

"Who are you?" I asked defensively.

"I am Kinya, new ruler of planet Laÿena. I came to retrieve the Ametria, which you already did. I shall reward you with sparing your lives."

"What are you planning to do with him?"

"Simple. He's going to be my slave and I'm going to rule his power. Why would you care, you're just a wandering stranger."

"I care because he happens to be my.. Err... F-friend. Leave him alone."

"And what if I don't?"

"Well, you wouldn't wanna know that type of information, now would you?"

"I hope you should know you pose very little threat to me and my army. Boys, take the child. Leave the others here."

The men let me and Jinx go and started to pick up Dib.

WOOSH!

The men flew back as a flash of a forcefield made them fly over the broken building.

What the hell?

I looked at Dib to see all his wounds healing and the blood disappearing from them. What's happening to him? Why is this so sudden? His eyes slowly opened to see the new world he's in. I ran to him and hugged him as tight as I could.

"Z-Zim? Where are we..."

"Look, I'll explain later but right now we have to fight off the bad guys who are trying to kidnap you, okay?"

"W-what-"

"Zim! Keep him safe for now, I'll hold them off. I'll signal you to tell you when I'm in trouble, now go!"

I picked up Dib and started running towards the nearest building. When I closed the door with my foot, I set him on the ground.

"What's going o-"

"I'll explain, but we don't have much time before Jinx signals me."

"Jinx?.."

"She was sent to protect me because the Tallest wanted me to die on Earth. We're in her home planet, Planet Laÿena who's being ruled over by the bad guys and we're fighting against them now. They're trying to kidnap the Ametria, and you're it."

"Ametria?"

"The Ametria is a person who has great powers and the enemy is trying to take you away to use you for it. The reason why we're here is because since we made physical contact, we were transported to be an easier target."

Dib blushed at the physical contact part.

"Oh...."

"Yeah. So you have to stay here until we fight them off, ok?"

"Zim! Help!"

"That's Jinx. I'll be back for you." And with that, I kissed his forehead and ran outside. He's so adorable when he's clueless...
