I tensed. "What if it's not?"
"Well, we'll have to destroy the powers immediately. Make sure there's no weapons going berserk in there."
My head shot to my arm and I did a slight whine.
"What's wrong sweetie?" Asked Mom.
I shot my eyes up again and noticed everyone was watching me.
"Uh... I'm fine! Everything's fine! Hey you know what? I'm tired. I'm going to bed. Well, see you guys tomorrow!"
I ran out of the room and shut my door to my room and locked it before anyone could protest.
"If my Dad's industry found out, we're done for!!" I whispered to myself.
I tapped my navigator which lit up, still in clock mode.
"Skynote!"
The hologram lit up.
Yes Autumn?
"Contact Hawk Manner."
Contacting....
The hologram went clear again and then I saw a signal.
I sighed as I saw Hawk's face staring at me.
"What's up Autumn?"
I told him everything that I heard at dinner. When I was done, his eyes were glowing amber in horror.
"We can't let them find out! That's the last thing we want to happen."
"What about everyone else?! If my dad finds out that I'm an Ananimus, he'll freak!! He might even turn me in for studies!"
Hawk looked worried for the first time I've seen him in months. "Autumn, that's not going to happen. Trust me. Now, the next meeting is tomorrow so can you survive till the next meeting?"
My mind was spinning with questions and terror of our cover being blown.
I sighed and snapped back to reality. "Yeah. I can hold till then." I responded.
Hawk smiled. "Good. I'm going to be at the meeting tonight; don't forget."
I smiled. "I won't."
The navigator went dark.
I double tapped the screen and it went back to clock mode.
I landed on my bed with a flop and stared at my ceiling which now vines had crawled up.
I turned into a leopard and rolled onto my belly and flexed my claws in front of me.
I barely have my claws sheathed but for this matter, I had them unsheathed.
I looked at my claws and realized how long they were. My Dad told me to sand them down once a month since my Mom didn't know what that meant.
They looked ok to me.
I felt something by my tail and looked back.
