My Possessive Vampire Boss?? {1}

{Chapter 1}

"You should be asking that to yourself, you're the one that almost got hurt, not only that but you're also freezing" He replies with no emotion in his voice. He is so rude. "I can take care of myself, thank you very much" I tell him annoyed at him and the way he is speaking to me. This is no way to speak to someone. He should know better than that. I turn around and leave, but before I could do that he grabs my wrist and pulls me back towards him. As soon as his touch is on my skin, I feel pure warmth run around my body. Just like I am under a warm blanket in my bed. I don't feel the cold anymore. I turn and face him. "I never get to introduce myself. I'm Jason. Jason Black" He says smirking and with pride laced in his voice. "I'm Emma, and if you would excuse me Mr. Black, I have to go" I tell him, he lets go of my wrist and without looking back I walk away from him.

The rest of the walk to my apartment I didn't get cold and that makes me wonder if this Jason guy had something to do with it. Since I have nothing to do and I'm not cold anymore I might as well just go shopping. I'm running out of food. When I step into my apartment I take my jacket this time and my phone which I had left here at home while I was in the interview. But before I leave and lose the door I drink a glass of orange juice. I forgot to eat breakfast this morning, due to my oversleeping. And the alarm clock that didn't wake me up.

In the store I got everything I needed and now I'm heading home. Holding one bag of food that I bought. The bag isn't that heavy but it isn't light either. Walking home for twenty minutes makes it heavy. This is just how things are going to be until I save enough money to by myself a car, it doesn't have to be a fancy car. Just a car that works is good enough for me. But it takes forever to save money to buy a car, do you know how expensive they are? Cars are pretty expensive. I'm not poor, I have enough money to pay for the bills and buy food and necessary things but other than that, I don't have much for anything else. That is why I am desperate for that job a lot more than you can ever imagine.

I eat a small basic sandwich for lunch, and after that I'm back of being bored out of my mind. I'm not used to having the whole day for myself. I'm always doing something, with the job interviews and looking for jobs have kept me busy for some time. I hear my phone beep on the table while I eat my sandwich. I open it and check who is sending me a text. 'Hey, can I come over?' It is a text from Maria. She has been my best friends since we were in high school. 'Yes. Thank god, I won't be bored anymore' I text her. I grab a book from my bookshelf and sit down on my tiny couch, since I have nothing to do while I'm waiting for her to arrive I might as well read a book. And, I have already read this book, six times. It never gets old.

A knock on my door break me away from my book. I set it aside while I open for Maria. "So, did you get it?" She asks smiling and grinning while putting her purse on my kitchen table. Each time I come from an interview she asks me the same question. "Yeah, I got the job" After those words left my mouth she screams out in pure happiness and jumps on me. Hugging the life and breath out of me. I've been trying to find a job for mouths now and I finally got one, she has seen how hard it is for me to be jobless. Well, not anymore. "This is something we should celebrate" She says with excitement. I'm not sure if there is anything to celebrate. This isn't a birthday, I just got a job.

"I know, we should have a movie marathon" She says and is now jumping up and down like a little kid. I swear that she is a child, but sometimes she can get very scary. At those times, it is best to avoid her. Unless, getting things thrown at you is your thing. "Ok, I don't care what movie we should watch, just don't put a horror movie. You know me" I tell her. She nods her head and puts a random movie on. We are watching the Twilight movies, she loves them to death. Half way through the last movie, my eyes start to grow heavy and I eventually close them.
