His hands travel to my waist. He teases me with his fingertips. It isn't long before both of us are lost, tangled, and gone in one another. At least I know I am.

"Are you sure this dress looks okay?" I ask Meredith nervously. I shouldn't be so worried about dinner tonight with the Van Der Hooven's but I am. To the point of feeling sick to my stomach.
Meredith stands in front of me waiting for me while I try on dress after dress. After Jamison and I made love, we spent most of the morning in bed. Then Jamison had to leave to get some work done. Now that Brian is gone, he has a lot more on his plate. So I called up Meredith and asked if she wanted to go shopping with me. Asking reminded me of going together back in high school.
And now here we are.
Meredith found a gorgeous red dress that compliments her perfectly. It fits her to a T and it wasn't even tailored. It strapless and goes down to her mid-thigh. She even bought a killer pair of black stilettos.
And here I am, still trying to find something good enough. Meredith studies me with her bright hazel eyes. From the look on her face I can tell that she's still a stressed out mess. She's trying her best though.
"I think you look freaking amazing, Lorelei. Jamison's mouth is going to be on the floor. I swear."
I smile at her words. The dress is black and strapless. It has lace on the top, almost resembling a corset. The bottom of the dress is a simple circle skirt that ends up mid-thigh, just like Meredith's dress. I spin around in my dress like a little girl. I feel beautiful.
"Aw, you look so happy!" Meredith says with glee.
She's right though. I am happy. It's all thanks to the supportive group of friends that I have. And Jamison.
"I am," I can't help but smile.
I take off the dress and then purchase it. Meredith and I leave the mall and make our way back to her house. We get all dolled up together in her bedroom, just like old times. We laugh and joke and giggle. We talk about anything and everything too. Most of all, we ignore the elephant in the room: Meredith's obvious discomfort over her issue with Hudson. It worries me. It makes me want to break down into tears. It hurts to see my best friend hurt and upset like this, especially just a few days before her big day.
Meredith walks out of the bathroom with her blood red dress on. Her hair is up in a fancy braid twist. She has on winged eyeliner and a lighter shade of red lipstick. She looks like a freaking bombshell goddess.
After I put on my dress, I curl my blonde and pink hair. I leave my makeup minimal to just mascara, blush, and a rose colored lips stick. I smile at myself in the mirror, secretly hoping and praying that everything tonight works out.
"Damn you look fine, girl," Meredith and I say to one another practically at the same exact time. We laugh over it just as their is a loud knock on the bedroom door. We both stop laughing and look at one another just to break out into hysterical laughter again.
