Determination (Sequel to Innocence)

Chapter 8

            “Yeah right Laylee. You sounded sexier.” I bite my lip.

            “Sure I did… go to bed. You sound worn out.” She laughs being mean.

            I shake my head and take a deep breath.

            “You sound more worn out. Are you sure that orgasm didn’t kill you.” I laugh closing my eyes.

            “Actually, to let you in on a secret, it was the best orgasm I’ve ever had.”

            I open my eyes fast and start to blush badly. “Goodnight baby” I hear her say while giggling.

            “You’re so mean. You always make me blush like crazy.”

            “Well I’m sure your face isn’t the only thing that’s red.”

            “Shut up Laylee!” I say a little too loud. Oh shit, I wonder if I was moaning too loudly. I have rooms beside of my room. I hope no one heard me.

            “I love you Aubrey.”

            “I love you too, goodnight my one and only…” I smile a little.

            “Goodnight, bye…”

            “Bye…”

            I pull my phone away from my ear as I see the call end. I lay my phone on my nightstand beside of my bed and lay on my side pulling my knees near my chest. I’m so happy I could die…

            Christmas Morning

            “Aubrey! Aubrey! Come on wake up!” I hear the kids screaming at me running into my room. They all end up jumping on me and I grunt.

            “Just a little longer….” I roll over on my stomach and the kids start bouncing on my back and butt.

            “Ugh fine, that’s it.”

            I pop up making all the kids fall off of me and I start to tickle all of them too death laughing with them. I hear the boys screaming like girls and it makes me laugh even more.

            “Let’s go see what Santa brought you guys.” I pick up Gabriel and Tyler carrying them downstairs as the other kids runs past me. “Hey no running, I have two little ones in my hands.”

            They’re all already in the living room looking around in awe to acknowledge what I said.

            I put Gabriel and Tyler down as I get to the end of the steps and they run to their presents from Santa. I see the adults come down behind me, they all look horrific. “Uhh...” I say staring at them and laughing. I don’t blame them it’s like 6:00 in the morning. There are a lot of presents so we get up really early to open them. It takes at least 5 hours or so for all the presents to be done.

            Everyone thanks me for the presents I have given them. I always like to put thought into the presents I buy people. If they say they want or need something that goes on my list. I like to wait until everyone else has open most of their presents to be respectful.

            “Go ahead and open your present’s hun.” My mom says rubbing my back.

            “Okay…”

            I reach into the pile of presents looking for mine. I set Laylee’s aside so I can open them later. I shake them like a little kid, and my parents laugh at me. I love all the presents everyone has gotten me. Now it’s time to open Laylee’s presents. My mom decides to keep my camera on me for some reason. I open all of her presents. They are the best presents I have ever gotten. She even had pictures of us framed a special way. I hold up every present she gave me so my mom can take a picture. I don’t normally like pictures, but I want to have this memory of opening Laylee’s presents.

            After all of the trash and presents being open, I grab my phone to text Laylee and tell her thank you.

            “Thank you for the presents. They were very thoughtful, and they are the best present’s I’ve ever had. Merry Christmas, I love you!”

            I smile staring at the text then I set my phone down to the side and talk to my family for a while. I hear my phone go off to Laylee’s ringtone for a text and I look at it.

            “Your welcome. I loved your presents too. Merry Christmas also, and I love you too J”

            This was the best Christmas ever. I have the girl I’m in love with, I’m spending time with my lovely family, and I get presents! I feel like such a kid on Christmas. That affect probably will wear out as I get older. I get to spend a little longer with my parents and sister, until the 3rd of January. I wonder if I can spend New Years with Laylee. I stop for a moment and come up with the best idea ever. I should go to New York with Laylee! ‘I’m so smart’ I think to myself.

            Yep, this is officially the best Christmas ever.
