Chapter 14

            I look over at the clock once my hair is done. In only 30 minutes… I’m going to be Laylana Lee Johnson. No more Thomas… just Johnson…

            I go into the bathroom putting on the dress. I can’t wait to see the look on Aubrey’s face. She’s going to love it…

AUBREY’S P.O.V

            I have been talking to my dad for a while. He made jokes about how he thought he’d never see his daughter in a suit. They didn’t offend me, I know he loves me.

            People start to fill in the seats slowly. That means… it’s almost time to make Laylee my wife. The photographers take random pictures of the people I talk too. It makes me a little nervous when we do that. Ugh, we’re going to have sooo many pictures. Somehow this wedding was able to fit in budget, with the help of parents of course. You can never go wrong with asking your parents for money, huh?

            I see Melanie in a dress and I start to grin. She notices me staring at her.

            “Stop it! Your mean!”

            “I’m so happy you’re wearing a dress. It’s cute.” I smirk. I know she gets mad when I say that.

            “I’m wearing it because I love you too much. And I’m the flower girl.”

            “You sure are a girly girl, I know that for sure.”

            She rolls her eyes and walks away. I laugh a little. This day is going really well. I want to see Laylee now though. Ha, she’s going to be Laylana Lee Johnson.

            I pause for a moment. Laylana Lee Johnson…

            Over and over again I repeat the name in my head like an idiot. I can’t help, but to realize every moment that I’m actually going to marry her.

            ‘I promise to make you so happy Laylana’ I think to myself

LAYLANA’S P.O.V

            Everyone was in awe when they saw me come out of the bathroom in my dress. I hope Aubrey will be too.

            “You are so beautiful.” My sister says to me.

            I smile looking in the mirror. “Yeah…” I say cockily

            “I see Aubrey is rubbing off on you. Miss Cocky.”

            I laugh looking at Lauren in the mirror.

            “I guess so huh?”

            I stand there for a while as people make sure my hair and make-up are okay. My mom and everyone stare at me as that goes on. I’m going to get emotional, because they are. No fair, it’s my wedding, I don’t want to cry.

            “You’re all set.” My friend says. She is the one that has done my make-up and made sure everything was okay.

            “Okay girls, it’s time to meet Aubrey’s grooms maids, and of course the best woman”

            I take a deep breath feeling butterflies go crazy in my stomach. It’s time…

AUBREY’S P.O.V

            I stand in front of the priest to the side. Everyone is seated, and my grooms’ maids including the best woman have left to get the bridesmaids and the maid of honor. I wonder what Laylee is thinking right now. I know I’m getting nervous though. There’s nothing to be nervous about…
