"Oh yes, thanks about that bhaizan. That man won't disturb Kriti now!" she said and pointed at Kriti, who was blushing badly watching him. "No problem, all friends of Nazima and you, are like my sisters," he said emphasizing the word 'sister' as he looked at Kriti. He understood Kriti was crushing over him. Her blushing smile faded as soon as she heard his words.
"Miraz, I told your ammi. She gave you the permission to have lunch here" Meena's mom said as she walked out of the kitchen. She looked a bit surprise as she found the two girls with Laxmi. "Arey, Kriti and Radha!", she greeted with a smile. The two girls rushed towards the woman and touched her feet. "Maa, they have come to make the project and yeah, we all we go out for shopping today evening for the farewell party!" Laxmi informed with a smile.
"What farewell party?" Meena inquired as she rushed down the stairs. "Farewell party of class 10" Laxmi informed as she raised a brow at her sister. "Oh, so Laxmi will wear saare?" Meena teased. "You will look like an Aunty, Laxmi dear" Meena teased as she pulled her cheek. The other two girls giggled.
"At least I will look better than you moti" she retorted back. "Go get glasses dear Laxmi, from which angle does your skeleton didi look moti?!" Miraz said with a grin. All the girls started laughing at that except Meena. Meena sent a glare at Miraz and he responded with a smirk. "Laxmi, get fresh. Today, Miraz will eat here" her mom commanded Laxmi. Laxmi and her friends went upstairs after that. "Okay you kids chat, I am going to make something for you all," her mom said in her cheery voice. Before Miraz could say anything, she rushed towards the kitchen.
There was a silence in the room. Meena folded her legs as she sat comfortably on the sofa. "So what are you planning to do for that dance-off?" she asked him. "Something cool and new" he stated. "Like?" she inquired. "We will combine two dance forms" he suggested. "What about the choreography?" she asked. "I know you will come up with something and I have some new steps in my head which we need to try out. if we can pull those off, we will surely win the dance-off" he said in a thrilled voice. "Woah, you don't have any clue about the song or the routine and you are going to get the costumes!" she said and sighed. "You know Meena darling, that I get good ideas after I see the design of the costume. Helps me think of the song appropriate for the dress" he said proudly. "okay whatever, but I am going to put my head in the routine after my kathak competition is over" she stated. "okay all right, within that time, I will come up with something!" he said in a low tone as he looked away.
"When is the competition?" he inquired after few seconds. Meena's expression changed into an angry one and she glared at him. "what?" he asked getting confused with her sudden change. "I have been telling you for two weeks that it's on 6th July, Saturday, the day after tomorrow" she explained loudly. "oh yeah right, sorry I forgot" he said as grinned. "that's the reason I hate you Miraz, you don't even care about me" she said angrily and faced the television.
"I am sorry Meena darling, I was busy with other things when you said" he said in a gentle tone as he forced the girl to look at him. "you are always busy in other things. Tell me today what other thing you did?" she demanded. "it's nothing of your interest," he said casually. "you always say that, today you will have to tell me otherwise I won't dance with you" she blackmailed. Miraz sighed. "still the stubborn little Meena, aren't you my Meena darling?" he asked. "yes" she said with arrogance. "okay, well, it's related to my father's property in the village!" he said in a low tone as if he was ashamed of it. "what is it?" she asked as she curled her brows.
"I told you before that my father had two mothers. So when his biological mom became ill she registered all her property in my father's name but as my father was very young at that time, so his older step brother started using the land. well, my abbu never needed that plot, but when we need it now for my prodigy brother Javed's higher studies, abbu's brother isn't allowing my father to sell the plot because he is surviving on the earning from the land. Even the whole village is supporting abbu's step brother so my father took the issue to the court. But now everyday some villager is coming to our place and is either threatening or explaining him to withdraw the case" he explained and then sighed.
