Not Accepting | Gladion x Reader

I scratched my neck and chuckle nervously. "Well that's a long story. He figured it out. I can't tell you the details on how, but I didn't know he was that genius!" She laughed at me and told me, that he was gonna find it out sooner or later. But she didn't expect it to be this soon.

Once we were back at the place, we changed back into our normal clothes, then walked to the next Malasada shop, silently.

Your POV

They didn't talk on the way to the shop. They were glancing at each other, but didn't say a word. I let out a sigh and entered the shop. We were greeted by the woman at the cashier and she told us to sit, while she makes the Malasadas.

When we got our food, I began to eat. Not paying attention to the others. Just sometimes, I would look up from my plate and look at them. Hau was playing with food and Gladion looked out the window, uninterested as ever. I exhaled, after I finished my food and stood up.

"I'll go to the restroom for a moment." I walked away to the restroom.

Hau POV

As soon as we were left alone, I began to tell him about the plan that I made with Guzma. He was looking angered, with each sentences said. Gladion sighed and massaged his forehead.

"Ugh. Can't you guys just mind your own business? Who said that I like her anyway? She's my rival", he lied and that was obvious. I raised my eyebrows and crossed my arms.

"But why did you tell her to not leave you?"

Gladion coughed and looked at me dumbfounded. "That's because, I-I.." He looked away embarrassed and didn't know what to respond.

I grinned at my friend and gave him a thumbs up. "You should just accept it, and stop being such a tsundere." He was glaring at me, when I said the word tsundere. But it's true. He was acting like one sometimes!

He let out a sigh and rest his chin on his hand. "Maybe I do like her", he confesses quietly and looks away with red tinted cheeks.

I nodded at him. "Yes you do and you should ask her out!"

Gladion eyed me again. "Ask her out? She probably doesn't even like me back, even if she does, I'll wait for the perfect moment", he said with a quiet voice. I shook my head and reassured him a smile. "She definitely likes you back."

"How could you know?", he asked and lifted his head, now looking at me skeptically. I was thinking about telling him that, because he probably forgot. Oh well, it wouldn't hurt him anyway. Probably it will make him flustered.

"You forgot about the CPR? In my view, that's like kissing the other person. If you love the person of course..", I mumble the last part and stopped for a moment, then continued. "So basically, it means that it was your and her first kiss. Didn't you see her blushing while you were 'kissing' her?"

I watched his reaction. He seemed to tense and began to blush. Gladion was showing me his weakness, and that was (Name). I'm glad he finally accepts his feelings towards her. (Name) came back from the restroom and sat the opposite of us.

"Hey guys. What are talking about? You weren't talking before, so what happened?", she asked with a smile. I gulped and hit Gladion slightly on his side. He grunted, glaring at me, but then turned back to her.

"We were talking about who will pay and decided that Hau will", Gladion said smirking and waited for my reaction. I jolted up from my seat.

"You told me, you were going to pay!", I yell, causing the other people around us to look. I slowly sat back down and giggled awkwardly.

"I was just kidding, Hau", Gladion said.

Your POV

Hau started to blush and pouted. "That wasn't funny Gladion!", Hau whined. I shook my head and laughed.

After Gladion paid for us, we went outside and the sky was filled with stars already. Hau yawned and stretched his body, tired after the day.

"I think I'll go home now. Bye guys", he waved and walked back to Iki Town, leaving me and Gladion all by ourself.

I heard how Gladion cleared his throat, so I turned to him. My eyes widen, when I saw him blushing. "..Sorry about the CPR." He avoided my eyes and blushed even more.

Now I remember. We kissed us indirectly and that was both our first time! I start to blush too and look at my feet.

"It was your first kiss, right?", he questioned quietly, as if he was mumbling. I nod slowly and looked back at him. I don't know why, but he seemed to have a proud expression on him right now. He started to smile and came closer to me.

"Why are you smiling?"

Gladion ignored my question and patted.. my head. Somehow I felt like he was showing me another side of his. It's like he was giving affection, not like the one he gives to his Pokémon. There was so much more feeling in it. My heart started to pound even harder.

"Good night, (Name)", Gladion said, smiling like on the first time I saw it, and left without any other word. He left me alone, speechless about what just happened.

I touched the spot where my heart was and it was racing incredibely quick. My face seemed hot too. I don't know what I'm feeling right now.

"Good night Gladion.."
