Arriving at the destination, I look at the mountain and nod. I then presume to walk into the Pokémon League, fighting the Elite Four before getting the chance to talk to her.

Kahuna Hala saw the bouquet and grew big eyed, asking sarcastically if those are his flowers. I denied and continued to battle the other three remaining elite trainers without any weird conversations with them. They did widen their eyes in interest, but they didn't say anything.

"Gladion, what are you doing here?" (Name) smiled brightly, as soon as I was up the stairs on the battlefield. I hid the flowers behind me, so she didn't see her present yet.

"I came to visit you", I answered and looked away from her. She took a step closer and tried to look behind me.

"What are you hiding~?", she demanded in a singing voice. I cleared my throat and held out the bouquet of Gracideas. She widened her eyes, looking at the flowers and then back to me.

Your POV

"A-Are those for me?", I asked carefully and take them out of his hands, looking at the beautiful flowers. He scratched his neck and chuckles nervously.

"Yeah I suppose. As a thank you", he said and looks away, his pale face turning red. I blinked my eyes in shock and held the flowers closer to me.

Before I could thank him, he cut me off by saying, "I'm going to take you out tomorrow at evening. Be sure to be ready, because I'll pick you up."

I gasped and nodded my head quickly. "Yeah! I'll be ready." He turned towards me and smiled, while patting my head.

"Good girl. I'm going now–"

"You came all the way without battling me?", I asked him, while placing my hands on my hips, after I placed the bouquet to a nearby vase (Just imagine there's one. She's gonna take it home anyway). He opened his mouth to speak, but closed it. Then he pulled out one of his five Pokéballs.

"It's been a while since we've battled against each other", Gladion stated with a smirk, while he was standing on the opposite side of mine. "I won't go easy on ya!", I said and smiled widely.

"Neither will I", he replied and tossed the Pokéball into the air, calling out his trusty Silvally with the grass type memory. It let out a loud cry.

- After the battle -

"As I expected. My rival is still undefeatable", Gladion said with a smile and called back his fainted Lucario. I pouted and folded my arms together.

"After all this time, you still call me your rival?"

He snickered and walked up to me, giving me some money of his, since I won once again. "Yeah. I don't know what else I could call you."

"A friend", I mumbled and look down my feet, twiddeling my fingers. He let out a hum and looked at me for a moment. "I'm not planning on making you a friend of mine."

"Wha-What? Why not?", I asked, a little disappointed that he wasn't seeing me as a friend of his. He began to smirk and kneeled down to my height, facing me closely. I tried to take a step back, only to fall backwards and sit down on the throne.

"All this time I told you, you were my rival and I plan on making you mine completely", Gladion said, brushing his lips on my face. Was he being serious? Because he looked at me in a serious way. I gulped and looked away from him. His intense stare was making me too nervous and flustered. I swear to Arceus, why does a handsome boy like him have to be so close to me?
