He only shook his head and looked back at his dad.

"My mother told me that his condition suddenly got worsened. They don't know if they can start an OP without knowing his exact condition..." he trailed off.

"Where is Sandra?" I asked.

"She took Emily and went home. She will come back in a few hours." he explained.

I looked at Mr. Anderson. He sure looked pale.

"I'm coming back in a few minutes. I need a coffee. You want too." I shook my head as he left the room letting me alone with him.

I sat down on the chair where Blake sat a few second and looked at Mr. Anderson.

"Hello, Mr. Anderson." I began to speak. "I don't know if you still remember me but it's me, Elizabeth. It's been really a long time. I'm sorry for not visiting until now in such a situation. I deeply hope that you will get better soon because Sandra and Emily as well as Blake needs you by their side. Unfortunately, I won't be able to do that." I said.

I wanted to speak again when the door suddenly opened and Blake coming in with a cup of coffee. I stood and went to him.

I gave him a hug and kissed him on lips lightly.

"I have to go now. My parents called telling me to go home." I lied.

He only nodded and went to his seat. I sighed and took my bag before I left.

"Thanks for coming again, Elizabeth." Dr. Reyenes said politely.

I sat down on one of the chairs in her office while my parents stood behind me with Jake.

"The reason I called you here is because of Elizabeth's condition. It seems that the medicine she is currently taking has no affect anymore." she explained.

"What do you mean 'no affect'? You told us that this medicine was the only thing that could safe her for now!" my dad yelled frustrated.

My mom calmed him down by wrapping her arms around his arm.

"Yes, I did but we never thought that her body will get used to it any soon or even never. But there is another problem." she sighed.

We waited for her to speak again.

"Her heart isn't beating normal anymore. In other words, if she starts to get an attack again, her heart will try and beat even faster than normal and she might start coughing really bad because her body tries to get oxygen into her system. She might look fine on the outside but she is not in the inside." she explained further more.

"I don't really understand the concept." My mom said.

"You surely know the feeling off running and than patting afterwards, right? Your heart rate is getting higher and higher until it reaches its limit which is not dangerous.
In her case her heart is already beating that fast even though she isn't even doing anything beside of laying in the bed or so. So if she runs or do some really tiring work then her heart starts to beat even more faster than now and some time later it will beat uneven because it will get tired soon after beating so much."

"So that's like having asthma?" Jake asked this time.

"Something like that but it's not the lunges, it's the heart. You can cure asthma with the medication but it's not the same as with the heart." she said sadly.

I stared at her blankly. I didn't know how I should react or feel about the whole situation.

"What does that mean for our baby girl?" my dad asked.

I could hear in his voice how hurt he was hearing this happening to his child but can you blame him? I would also react like this if I knew that my child will die soon.

"We are still looking for a person for you but unfortunately we haven't found anyone yet.
The medicine has no affect on you anymore so you can't take it anymore. Try not to move too much. Every move you make could lead to exhausting to your body which leads to coughing.
And I will give you one of those oxygen bottles. Everytime you get an attack you have to wear the mask for at least 1 hour. It gives you extra oxygen so that you heart doesn't need to work too much." she said and gave my father one.

I only nodded unable to say anything at all. I didn't know anything anymore. I only wanted to lay in my bed and cry my heart out.

"Elizabeth." I heard Dr. Reyenes calling pulling me out of my trance.

"I know it's hard to accept it but we will do everything to find a way to heal you. Anyway, I would like you to stay in the hospital." she suddenly said.

My eyes widened.

"No! I can't stay! I mean I still have school!" I said in panic.

"I know, but your condition might get worse. I don't want to take that risk."

"...How long do I need to stay here...?" I asked scared for the answer.

She sighed.

"I honestly don't know. Maybe a few weeks or months. It depends on your health." she said.

I went silent. I didn't argue because I know it will be useless. However, I still need some time.

"Please give me three weeks before I have to stay here. I still need something to do." I explained.

She looked at me worried but still nodded.

"Three weeks and no more." she said and I nodded.
