"I gotta take a shower," I said, and headed to the shower as the whistling and hooting continued.

Assholes.

I waited until I was sure everyone was gone before I came out. I didn't want to face more cheering and pestering about who the girl was. I'd be in deep shit if they got it out of me.

I dragged my boxers and jeans on before poking my head out the locker room door to make sure the coast was clear. It wasn't. Jane was standing right there.

~Jane~

Seeing Cash shirtless was slightly overwhelming, as was trying to take in everything about him at once. The almost there six pack, the droplets of water falling from his hair and onto his tanned shoulders, the way his jeans hung low on his hips, his Adam's apple - bobbing when he caught sight of me.

I had made sure to wait until all the guys had left to come looking for Cash. I didn't know why the hell he'd been taking so long. I had watched Jason and the others lingering by the soccer field, and when Cash took an excessive amount of time to leave the building, they migrated to the outer door of the locker room.

"Hi," he croaked, and then cleared his throat. He stepped out into the hallway. "What are you doing here."

"What the hell took you so long?"

He frowned. "I was just-" he started, and then I heard Kory's voice, just outside the exit at the end of the hallway.

"Fuck," I hissed, and set my hands on Cash's chest, shoving him back into the locker room.

"Jane!" he yelped, "What the hell is going on?"

"Shut up, would you?" I hissed again,

and he sat on the bench in front of what I presumed was his locker.

"Please tell me what's going on," he said, and I looked down at him.

"Jason and some of the other guys are going to jump you when you leave this locker room," I informed him. He groaned.

"Why?" he sighed as I climbed onto the bench beneath the window and watched as Jason and Kory paced back and forth in front of the doors.

Cash popped up beside me and swore when he saw them. "If it was just Jason and Kory I could take them, but Jesus, there's ten of them!"

"I know. We just need to stay here until they get tired and leave," I said, sitting down on the bench. Cash shoved his belongings back in his locker before running his hand through his hair then leaning his head back against the wall.

"Why are you helping me?" he asked, and I shrugged.

"I can't let an injustice go unpunished," I responded, looking up at him. Suddenly, I was immensely distracted by how shirtless he was. I wanted to touch him. Not like that, but you know. I wanted to be able to, if I wanted to.

"Jane, I - " he started, but never finished because at that moment I heart Jason's angry voice.

"The bastard is probably hiding in there!" he grunted.

"I say we go in there and beat the shit out of him!" Kory proclaimed, and Cash snorted.

"Losers, I doubt they even know what the inside of a locker room looks like."

"Hey," I snapped, and he jerked to look at me. "Athleticism isn't the only form of success, okay? Step one of getting these guys to not hate you? Start being nicer to them, Cash."

Again, he opened his mouth to speak, but I yanked him up when I heard the sound of the locker room door jiggling.

"Hide," I whispered and he glanced around, panicking. Suddenly, I found myself being dragged into a small cubical, which was wet, and cold and smelled gross. Gross like....

~Cash~

A shower stall.

Before I could think I grabbed her hands and yanked her into the stall, not considering anything except for the need that Jason didn't find me.

I didn't think about the repercussions of being found together in this situation, or the size of this stall when there were two people in it as opposed to one.

Jane looked at me, and then squeezed her eyes shut for a second.

"We need to press back against that corner," she said, pointing to the corner that couldn't be seen from the opening of the stall. I backed her into the corner and we stood as close as possible without touching each other.

I heard Jason stomping through the locker room, calling my name. I looked down at Jane and sighed.

"We need to take up less space. Do you trust me?" I asked, and was surprised by her instantaneous nod. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her tight against my chest, moulding our bodies together as I pushed her back into the corner. Her hands pushed against my chest for a moment before sliding up as her arms wound around my neck.

I was a little breathless to be honest.

"Cash," I whispered, feeling lightheaded due to the position we were in. He lifted his head and looked at me. "He'll see your legs if he walks by."

He glances back and then looks at me again. I can see the conflict in his eyes. We both know how to take up even less space, but is it worth it?

It wasn't as if I didn't want Cash in that way. I did. I mean, how could I not? He was attractive as hell.

"Do it," I said, and he didn't need to be told twice. His hands gripped the backs of my thighs, just below my ass, and lifted me up. I wrapped my legs tight around his waist and almost moaned aloud when he squeezed us together so we were snugly pressed in the corner.

"Jesus," he sighed into my neck when I accidentally ground against him as I tried to adjust my position. Having him pressed so intimately against me sent my heart racing in a million different directions.

All we could do now was sit and wait and hope that no one found us.
