"Hey Gladion! Alola N!", Lillie said, bowing when N was infront of her. "Ah! Lady Lillie, you musn't bow to me. It's very embarrassing!", N told her, while awkwardly scratching his nape. She had a shocked expression on her face, waving around. "So sorry! I forgot." He laughed at her reaction and turned towards me, still having a smile on his face. I started to blush slightly and held out my hand. "Hello. My name is (Name)", I introduced myself. He looked at my hands and then at my face. "You're the second person in my life, who didn't bow to me. Gladion didn't even want to shake hands", N laughed, grabbing my hand with his larger one. I glanced at Gladion, who seemed to stare at our hands.
"Oh.. There's this threatening glare again." N took a step back and nervously giggled. I sweatdropped and smiled close-eyed. "Yes.. That happens ofte-"
"It's because he's jealous", Lillie said all of a sudden. Gladion was caught off guard by her sudden statement and protested: "Hmph. As if!" He had a slight angry expression on him but blushed on his cheeks, so it did look like he was jealous. "You don't have to be Gladion", I told him with a sweet voice, attempting to tease him a little, "We can hold hands, if you like~" Gladion got flustered by that and averted his gaze to the side. "N-No. I don't want to."
"Is that so? What a pity", I said, acting if I was hurt. I heard him gulp and then softly grabbed my hand. "A-Alright, we can hold hands. But- don't think too much about it!" I nodded my head, laughing. "Yes, yes. I understand."
"Hau's coming too", Lillie told N, beginning a conversation with him, while me and Gladion were just listening. "Hau? Is he your boyfriend?", he questioned, with one eyebrow raised up. She nodded and pulled her phone out of her bag, showing him a picture of her enthuastic boyfriend. "What's that in his hands?", he asked, looking a little closer. She double tapped on the screen, which made it zoom into the picture. "That's malasada. An alola speciality", Lillie explained, "You should try it out!"
"Sure! I'd love to." Lillie waved over a waitress, ordering all different kinds of malasada flavours. After she brought the malasadas, he picked one random flavour and took a bite in it. His expression was neutral, but then it looked like he loved it. "Amazing!", he yelled, wiping his fingers with a tissue, "It's so delicious~!" - "Indeed!", another voice said from the other side of the room. It was Hau, waving at us with his usual cheeky grin. Me and Lillie waved back, while Gladion and N looked at him. N looked rather surprised.
"Wow! You're the royal guest that stays over at the Aether Paradies?!", Hau asked, cheer in his voice. N smiled at him and nodded. "Yes, that's true. But please, don't treat me differently from the others. I'd like to be seen as normal, as possible." Hau gave him an understanding grin and gave Lillie a hug, greeting her and said his Alola to me and Gladion. "Hmph. But you're definitely not normal at all", Gladion snarled suddenly, folding his arms and frowning in process. I looked at him questioning. "What exactly do you mean?", I asked. I noticed how Hau and Lillie stared at him questioning too.
"When I had to pick him up that morning, Silvally was out of his Pokéball waiting with me for him. When this guy arrived, he stared at Silvally in a weird way and even talked with him, as if he really would understand", Gladion explained to us, then glaring at N, "Could you explain further?" N laughed sweetly and smiled at Gladion, ruffling his hair. "You are indeed a intelligent one and yes, it's true. I can understand the Pokémon." Gladion stayed silent, fixing his hair, as I widened my eyes in surprise and shock. I mean - How can he do that? Is that even possible? I have so many questions.
"I think it's just an ability of mine? Hehe..", N told us, following an awkward laugh of his. (I don't exactly recall, if he really was able to talk with Pokémon)
"That's so cool! I wish I could do that too, so I can thank my Pokémon!" Hau pressed his hands together, praying and probably wished that ability. Lillie laughed at him, while Gladion let out a sigh. "Enough talking around. We should probably continue the tour", Gladion told N, who seemed more unpleased than pleased. "Can't we bring them with us?", N suggested, looking at him with Rockruff eyes. Gladion made a disgusted face. "I don't know. Ask them."
N looked at us, hopeful that we'd tag along. Hau and Lillie shook their heads and blushed. "W-We're going on a date..", Lillie mumbled quietly, playing with her fingers while Hau scratched his neck embarrassingly.
"How about you (Name)?", N suddenly grabbed both of my hands and stared into my eyes. I gulped and nodded. "S-Sure.." Gladion clicked his tongue and slapped N's hands away from mine, before walking out. "Let's go."
N leaned in to whisper into my ear. "He's so jealous. I don't even know why." I looked back at N and shrugged my shoulders. "I don't know it either. He usually doesn't care."
N hummed in amusement. "Hmm.. Interesting. Let's see how jealous he really can get."
