"Um, doc, who's my fiancee? Wait, if I have a fiancee, why can't I remember her? Whats going on?" She began to panic. She remembered everyone else, why can't she remember someone as important as her fiancee?

"Short-term memory loss is normal, Lauren. It'll take a little bit, but it'll come back to you soon. Don't you worry."

"Okay, but why my fiancee? Why can I remember everyone else but not her?"

"Well, it may have to do with the fact that she was a factor in why you crashed in the first place. Your mind might be blocking out the people who you're having troubles with."

Lauren shook her head. He did not just blame someone else for the accident. This was all on her, she thought. "No, don't say that. She would probably feel terrible if she heard you saying that."

"I'm sure she would, but its true. I mean, she-"

The door shot open. Lauren saw her mother, then her father and siblings. They all ran to her bed and crowded around her. They all attempted to hug her at once, but obviously failed to do so. So they all took turns and hugged her and told her how much they loved her. Lauren was happy that she recognized everyone there, and was even happier when her bandmates walked through the door.

"Hey, Lo! We brought her gifts. There's also a lot from some of the fans, too. But we didn't bring everything. The rest of it is at your apartment. There was just too much to bring with us." Normani greeted her with a basket full of random gifts. The three girls walked over and hugged Lauren as gently as they could.

Dinah accidently leaned onto Lauren's left leg as she was retracting from the hug. She shot back and slapped her hand over her mouth. "Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I didn't hurt you, did I?"

"My leg? Actually, I didn't feel that at all." They looked at her confusingly. Lauren's mother grabbed her daughters hand knowingly. The injured girl gave her mom a small smile and turned back to her bandmates. "Seeing as you all look confused, you probably weren't told that I'm paralyzed from the waist down. I have absolutely no feeling in my legs."

The three girls gasped at the new information. They immediately ran to the girl laying in the bed and formed an awkward group hug.

"We're so sorry, Laur. We're all here for you no matter what. We're here till the end." Ally sympathized. The other girls nodded their heads enthusiastically in agreement. Lauren smile grew bigger at every word she said. It felt good to be loved.

"Thank you. I love you guys so much."

They all starting talking about random topics to take Lauren's attention to the fact that she might not be able to use her legs ever again. They talked about whats been going on while she was in a coma, but never mentioned the performances that were cancelled due to her absence. They talked about anything and everything. That was until someone knocked on the door.

"Its open!" Lauren said while not trying to strain her voice. Her throat was still a little sore from going to not using it for a month and a half to suddenly talking again.

A small petite girl walked through the door. She looked familiar, but Lauren couldn't put a name to the face. She felt her heart tug at the appearance of this girl, but she didn't know why. She just felt attatched to her in some way.

"Lauren, oh my god. I can't believe you are awake!" The girl ran up to Lauren and threw her arms around her neck. Lauren reciprocated due to this weird attraction towards the girl, even though she still didn't know who she was.

"Yeah, I'm awake. Can I ask you a question though?"

"Of course you can. Whats up? Do you need something? I can go run and get whatever you need. Have you eaten yet? God, I hope you haven't. Hospital food is the worst. You know what? I'll go get you some food anyway-"
