"How can I misinterpret YOUR HANDS, on Chey's waist. Do you really think I'm that stupid!" she yelled back at me as she turned around, her hair covering her face soaked in tears.
Another piece.
"Linds, just wait, let me expl..."
"Don't call me Linds, only my friends call me that," she exclaimed, cutting my sentence short.
I saw Karra's car pull up, and Lindsey turned around and jogged to it.
"Lindsey! Lindsey!! Wait! Can I just explain?"
She got into the car.
"Bye Jake." she said, not even looking at me, and slammed the car door closed.
Why am I such an idiot!
Lindsey's POV:
"What did he do?" Karra said sympathetically.
"He offered to take me home, and he told me to meet him at his locker after school. When I went there, I saw him leaned against the lockers, arms wrapped around Chey Mailey's waist." I explained.
"Aw, you poor thing! And with Chey?! That snobby girl! Oh he's gonna hear it from me tomorrow." Karra said.
"No, please, just don't talk about him. Do whatever you want to him. I don't give a crud."
She drove me home, and offered to stay, but I told her I would rather be alone.
She didn't refuse, and I ran into my house, upstairs, and plopped onto my bed.
Why did he have to play with my heart? I didn't do anything to him. I should've known it would never in a billion years work out.
He was popular, I'm not. He's good looking, I'm not. I thought he was the perfect person, and, guess what? We both are not.
I cried myself to sleep, and couldn't even talk to my mom about what had happened. What's even worse? My dad comes home tomorrow, and if he knows I'm sad because of Jake, he's dead meat.
