Storm: Part 2; Head will roll

Start from the beginning

Valentine called out. "Fire kills everything, Sybil."

A good reminder, as Sybil was about to walk through the flame. She completely forgotten she was more flammable than the average person. Looking around, she saw a small pile of fire extinguishers by a dirt mound. The mound smelled like death, and Sybil could only assume that the leftovers from a recent meal were buried there.

Grabbing a small one, she returned to the fire.

Demetri and Valentine were conversing with Nicholas-Bradley.

"Why didn't you bring Caius? I thought I made myself clear." He seethed.

Demetri scoffed and looked at the man down his nose. "The Volturi do not answer the demands of a newborn. Or anyone who threatens a fellow coven member."

Nicholas-Bradley scowled, and moved towards Demetri in a threatening manner.

Valentine (Cyril couldn't bare to lie to Sybil, so he used his middle name from his human life as his alias), step forward, and spike in his dizzying and hypnotic voice.

"Stop, all of you."

The three vampires on the ground and the twenty or so in the ceiling ceased all movement.

Demetri couldn't help but smile at the control Cyril quickly obtained.

"Nicholas-Bradley, right? What an unfortunate name. Who created you?" The ginger questioned as all attention was rapt to him.

"She told me not to say her name." He answered, numbly.

Cyril growled in frustration. Whoever turned him he either has great loyalty to or great fear of them.

"Fine. Why did he pick you?"

"She said I was special. She said I would lead the world to its knees. She saw my power when no one else did."

Demetri made a mental note that the creator was female.

"What exactly is you power?"

"I can make people see and experience their greatest fear."

With a quick glance to Demetri, Cyril nodded in understanding. Of course the only thing that could take down the twins was themselves and their minds.

"Who else in your coven has powers."

"Mitchell is stronger than most. Professor Ross can see what others are thinking."

"That's it? Only you three?"

"Yes." He affirmed.

At least it would be a stellar loss if talent.

"Why do you want Caius?" Demetri questioned. But Nicholas-Bradley didn't answer.

Cyril rolled his eyes and repeated the question.

"She asked for him. She said she knew him, and that he'd help her." He said monotonously.

Whoever his creator was, she was obviously pulling the strings. She knew Nicholas-Bradley would have a swelled ego, and would raise an army to show everyone how powerful he is.

'Well, this complicates things.' Demetri thought forlornly. 'I guess the twins will have more than one plaything from now on.'

Back to Sybil.

There wasn't enough foam to put out the whole ring of fire, so Sybil settled with putting out enough for her to enter.

The twins were slouching against the pole that they were tied to. Jane looked distant and shocked, eyes wide and face slacked. Alec looked borderline hysterical. Though the ropes were no match for brute vampiric strength, Alec seemed to struggle against them, pulling weakly and keening in frustration. His eyes were livid, searching the flames frantically, and his mouth was pulled into a snarl.
