Chapter 8: Found

Josh nodded and got off the bed slowly. Everything was still a little fuzzy around the edges. Must be the pain medication and the numbing solution.

"Alright follow me then. He's a few doors down." The doctor said as he walked down the hallway, Josh a few paces behind him. He managed to see his reflection in the glass window and he stopped for a split second, seeing his eye bruised badly and the stitches above his brow.

"He's in here. Would you like to know his analysis?" The doctor said as Josh put his hand on the doorknob.

"Yes, please." Josh said turning quickly his full attention on the doctor. His chest hurt, expecting the worse.

"It's nothing too serious besides a sprained ankle. He had no concussion and we were able to stitch up his wound on the side of his face much similar to yours." The doctor said and Josh exhaled quickly,becoming light headed from holding his breath a little too long.

"Thanks doc, I'll be seeing you." Josh said shaking his hand and opening the door to Tyler's room.

Kelly was sitting beside Tyler smiling softly as Tyler ate a granola bar. Madison stopped talking and smiled as soon as she noticed Josh come in.

"Hey Tyler." Josh said quietly. Kelly gasped and got up, hugging Josh tightly. Josh felt strange. He never had been hugged like this before. It made him feel better instantly. Was this what a mother's embrace felt like?

"Oh Josh, Tyler was telling us everything. Honey you did your best to protect Tyler. I called Officer Thomas and we'll file a report on this Andrew character. I'm so glad you're both safe." Kelly said hugging Josh again. Josh awkwardly hugged Kelly back.

"Y-you're not mad at me? You're not going to send me away?" Josh said astounded at what he was hearing.

"Of course not sweetheart. We promised to take care of you and we will." Kelly smiled stood aside. "You can talk to him now."

Josh walked over to Tyler's bed and sat in the chair next to it. "You look like crap."

Tyler laughed a bit and looked Josh up and down. "So do you man."

"I'm so so sorry Tyler I didn't think this would ever happen. Andrew was gone he wasn't supposed to be able to find me anymore." Josh said emotion filling his voice. "If anything happened to you...."

"I'm fine Josh." Tyler smiled and leaned in closer. "Besides," He whispered. "You looked really hot kicking his ass."

Josh smirked a bit "You did more of the ass kicking than I did." He reached out a took Tyler's hand, running his thumb over Tyler's knuckles. For once, Tyler didn't pull away.

Josh helped Tyler out of the car careful not to get in his way. Tyler hobbled out wearing a boot that went up to his knee. His mother and sister went ahead and opened the door, moving some furniture out of th eway inside to make it easier for him to maneuver around.

"All this for a sprained ankle." Tyler grumbled as Josh helped him walk up the driveway. "I can walk Josh, honest."

"I know I'm just....I'm just worried." Josh said and carefully letting go of Tyler's arm. Tyler was able to walk on his own thanks to the boot he was wearing. Josh followed closely behind anyways, watching him like a hawk. Tyler made it inside and then looked up at the staircase sighing.

"Let me." Josh said sweeping Tyler from under his feet, lifting him into his arms with ease. Tyler's eyes widened as he saw his mom gasp and his sister giggle.

"My word Josh I didn't know you were so strong." Kelly said watching as he carried Tyler up all the stairs and setting him down carefully at the top. "What do you say Tyler?"

"Thanks."Tyler mumbled and glared at Josh before hobbling to his room. Josh grinned following after him.

"Do you think Andrew is gonna stay away?" Tyler said sitting on his bed staring up at Josh.

"I hope so. Officer Thomas said they were already looking for him since they found out he was in charge of running drugs. I wish I had ratted him out when I got arrested but..I just couldn't. Andrew isn't the nicest of people." Josh said his eyes scrunching at a few unwanted memories.

"Yeah I can tell." Tyler sighed and scratched at his leg. "At least it's not a cast though."

"You're so positive about this whole thing. I expected your family to throw me back in the system or for you to hate my guts." Josh said kneeling in front of Tyler taking his face in his hands. "But you guys keep showing me that there's a different way." Josh said smiling and leaning forward and kissing Tyler slowly. Tyler's hand wove up to the nape of Josh's neck and pulled him closer, kissing him back.

Tyler's phone buzzed and he pulled it out seeing a text from Jenna.

jenna: hey are you still coming bowling?

tyler: oh snap I totally forgot. something really important came up and i can't. i will explain everything i promise.

jenna: are you alright?

tyler: i am. i'm so sorry.

jenna: it's alright as long as you're alright. see you at school! kisses xoxo.

Josh leaned over and saw the texts. "Kisses?" He smirked.

"Shut up." Tyler said hitting Josh with a pillow.

Josh hugged Tyler closer as he slept, making sure not to bump against his hurt ankle. He nuzzled Tyler's neck inhaling his scent. Suddenly Tyler's hand tightened around Josh's, so suddenly that Josh thought he had woken up. Tyler began twitching in his sleep and murmuring. Josh sat up worried as Tyler began whimpering.

"No..no no no." Tyler murmured and thrashed his head back and forth. Josh shook Tyler gently causing him to wake.

"Tyler are you okay? I think you were having a nightmare." Josh said and Tyler glanced up at him.

"Yeah."Tyler sighed and sat up running his fingers through his hair. "I forgot to take my medication today."

"Jesus Tyler you can't be pulling that shit." Josh said getting up out of bed and grabbing the empty cup off of the bedside table. "I'll be right back."

Josh quietly opened the door and went to the bathroom filling the cup up with water. When he came back in the room he saw Tyler picking at his rubber band again obsessively.

"Here."Josh said taking a pill from the bottle and handing it to Tyler."Take it." He said handing the cup of water to him. Tyler popped the pill in his mouth and drank half the glass of water.

"All of it." Josh ordered.

Tyler rolled his eyes but drank the rest of the glass. Josh took the cup and put it back on the table before crawling back in the bed and wrapping his arms tightly around Tyler.

"I don't want anything to ever happen to you." Josh whispered into Tyler's ear causing Tyler to smile and turn around, kissing him softly. Josh kissed him back then intertwined his fingers with Tyler's watching him slowly drift back to sleep.

(a/n: Also yeah Andrew is Andrew Garfield from spiderman and I know it's weird to throw him in a joshler but oh well)
