|Dipper| When There Was Me and You

I sang looking back at the two;

Why did I let myself believe
Miracles could happen
'Cause now I have to pretend
That I don't really care

I sighed and decided to walk around the garden to get my mind off of the two;

I thought you were my fairytale
A dream when I'm not sleeping

A wish upon a star
That's coming true

But everybody else could tell
That I confused my feelings with the truth
When there was me and you

I sang as I admired the flowers in the garden;

I swore I knew the melody
That I heard you singing
And when you smiled
You made me feel
Like I could sing along

"Disco Girl!" I heard a certain male voice sang in the other room.

"Coming through! That girl is you!" I sang along and heard rapid footsteps coming and saw a panting Dipper by the door.

"You know BABBA?" he asked with hopeful eyes.

"Do I know them? I love them! 'Disco Girl' is my favorite song!" I said happily making the brunette smile as we sang and danced around the room like idiots.

"Hey... you okay, Dipstick?" I asked concerned.

"Yeah..." he answered and I rolled my eyes.

"C'mon, tell me. You know you can tell me anything" I reassured him and he gave me a faint smile.

"It's just that... I'm not manly enough to defeat that machine and the Manatours--the manliest creatures on the planet--said it too!" he sighed and put his hands in his pockets. I frowned at this and nudged him slightly. "Ow! Hey!" he pouted.

"Look Dipper," I said grabbing both of his shoulders making him look at me straight in the eyes. "You risked your life to save your sister from gnomes, stood up to the Manatours because what they were doing wasn't right, did something you didn't want to do in order to save our lives, AND, helped your sister with her Gideon problem! If that isn't manly, then I don't know what is" I smirked and I noticed that he looked a little red "O-oh, sorry..." I said retreating my hands.

"N-no! It's fine! It's just... thanks (Y/N)... I needed that" he smiled as he rubbed his arm and I grinned at him.

"Don't beat yourself up, Dipping sauce. You should give yourself more credit" I said sincerely and I felt him wrap his arms around me.

"Thanks (N/N)... you always know what to say..." he said muffled and I chuckled "Anytime," I said hugging him back.

I smiled at the memory but it turned into the frown when I heard people gossiping about Dipper and Pacifica;

But then you went and changed the words
Now my heart is empty
I'm only left with used-to-be's

I sighed and went to the deep end of the garden;
