I hadn't even realized he was in front of me until he used his finger to close my mouth. Craig and Ashley were grinning like fools as if they knew this huge secret.
I was not drooling! My jaw was probably on the ground, but I was not drooling! I don't drool! Not even in my sleep, nope. Destiny Munroe does not drool what-so-ever.
"Ready to go?" Trey asked.
I nodded, not trusting my voice at the moment. I was still in a daze from his amazingly good looks. He can make the simplest thing look like they just got modeled in a D&G fashion show.
We made our way out of my dad's house and to his car. We were going to the best floorist in California. Dria's Colors. Weird name, but she is the most reliable and she sells for low prices. She is very successful. She was also three hours away so we had a long drive ahead of us. No wonder Ashley wanted me to come at seven in the morning. But it was worth it I guess.
"You look beautiful today." Trey randomly blurted.
I smiled, "Uh, thanks. It's not really much though."
And it wasn't. I didn't really have anything on that was so amazing. I had on dark blue jeggings, a bright-yellow off the shoulder top with a silver owl, and flats. My outfit wouldn't neccesarily impress people.
"You look beautiful in whatever you wear." He told me.
I blushed, "Thank you."
He shrugged, "No problem, shawty."
My heart instinctively did that flutter thing at the nickname. This boy really had no clue of the effects he had on my body. Or maybe he did....
"Why do you call me that?" I asked.
He glanced at me then back at the road. "Call you what?"
"Shawty."
He shrugged, "It fits you I guess."
I shook my head, "I mean, why have you always call me that? Even when we were seventeen you called me that and I've never heard you call anyone else that before." I explained.
"Well," He paused, "Back then, I was a ladies man, as you know." He smirked causing me to roll my eyes at him. "But then you came and that changed." He continued, "I guess you could say love at first sight." That made me blush. "You were the one to change my ways. I used to call many girls alot of things back then. Baby, babe, baby girl...you name it. But I never called anyone shawty. That nickname was yours back then and it always will be. You weren't just some girl. You were my shawty."
By the end of his confession, I was grinning like an idiot and I think Trey noticed because he started laughing.
"Cheesy I know, I know! But you had me sprung. Still do."
No I don't if you're fucking that Alicia bitch, I though to my self. I was annoyed with the thought and pushed it away.
"I don't think it's cheesy! I think it's the sweetest thing ever!"
He playfully rolled his eyes, "Whatever."
"So, hey, how's the studio doing?" I asked, changing the subject. I really didn't want to listen to the radio or sit in an awkward silence so the conversation had to keep rolling.
"It's good. The building is almost finished being built. Right now we're making fliers and all that crap so people can sign up to be members."
"How much is the membership?"
"Craig and I didn't want to make it too much. There's not many dance studio's in this part of Cali so we didn't want to charge people too much for doing what they love, so it's only three-fifty every two weeks." He explained.
"Three hundrend and fifty dollars?!" I exclaimed, "That's alot of money!"
He laughed, "No, no. Three dollars and fifty cents."
I sighed, "Oh! I think I'll sign Trent and Ne'Vaeh up then. They like to dance. I might just have my own membership as well." I grinned.
He glanced at me, "It's been a while since I've seen you dance."
I nodded, "It's been a while since I've danced. I don't really have that much time with the twins and college."
He looked thoughtful. "As soon as the studio is done being built, I'm getting you in there so you can show me what chu got."
I smiled, "I don't want to hurt your ego, pretty boy."
He scoffed, "Girl please. I'm a beast. You must have forgotten who went to Julliard."
I rolled my eyes, "That means nothing to me. I'm still just as good. If not better!"
"Ooooh I can't wait for the construction to be done! Imma show yo little ass."
"You can't handle it."
"We'll see."
After that, we talked about tons of things. I think we were really just catching up since we havent really talked since he has been here. When we do talk, it ends in arguing or we're always talking about something that happened when we were seventeen.
It felt good to talk to him like a normal person. All of our feelings were pushed aside and for the moment, we were like the best of friends gossiping about what's going on in school.
Trey's personality makes him easy to talk to. He's funny, caring, and is a great listener. When you talk, he doesn't interrupt. He saves all his questions for the end when you're done rambling.
It's a nice feeling.
We ended up talking the whole three hours and before I knew it, we arrived at Dria's Colors.
We both got out of the car grinning like idiots because we were still laughing at something he said.
This day would not be boring.
