Chapter 18: Ethan's Past?

"Are you gonna adopt me?"

"Of course Ethan after all what kind of sister would I be if I didn't" as soon as she said that she took of her cloak revealing her brown locks and golden eyes.

"S-Sister?" Little me managed to stutter out

At this point I was trying my hardest to move, scream anything.

"But I don't have a sister" little me said

"Of course you do silly, don't you remember" she said as she stretched her arm out and touched my forehead.

Little me stood frozen in spot unable to move as memories came crashing down. Tears pooled the corners of his eyes as the memory of his parents death appeared. As I shifted my gaze from little me's memory to her, I noticed the crazed grin that decorated her face. After a couple of minutes, she finally removed her hand from little me's forehead and looked at him with fake sympathy.

"Now do you remember me?" She said.

"Minori?"

"Yes that's right little brother it's me, Minori" she said

Little me quickly ran towards her and hugged her.
She hugged him back and for a moment there, it actually looked as if she genuinely cared for him. As they broke apart from the hug she suddenly looked at him with a smile which of course he returned.

"Care to join me, brother?" She asked as she stretched her hand out.

"Join you, in what?" Little me asked

"Does it matter, we can be together again, we can be a family again" she said.

"NO DONT" I screamed as I tried to at least turn away.

Little me soon then move his arm to her's, that was outstretched and then everything started dissolving again. But only one thing remained clear; the malevolent smile that decorated her lips. After that everything went dark.

"Eth-, Ethan, ETHAN WAKE UP"

***flashback over***

I opened my eyes and came face to face with (e/c) colored eyes full of worry.

"He's awake" said (Y/n) as she slowly moved back.

"Are you okay Ethan?" She asked me worry evident in her voice.

"Yeah, I-I'm fine" i said as I slowly tried to sit up.

"What happened exactly?" I asked her.

"Well you got hit by a door on your way to class and then fainted so they took you here" she said simply. After a moment I realized I don't have my backpack with me, and that's when I started to panic.

"Hey (Y/n), have you seen my backpack?" I asked her as calmly as I could. She didn't answer me at all, heck she didn't even look at me. Something seemed off about her.

"Hey (Y/n), are you okay?" I asked her. After a few seconds she lifted her head and her gaze met mine.

"Why Ethan?" She asked me and it was immediately then, I knew, that I've been caught.

"Why what? I asked trying to play dumb.

"Why would you take those student files Ethan, and not only that, you had to specifically take me and my friends files why?" She questioned

"Look it's complicated okay" I said trying to see if the window was still open, which it was.

"I thought we were friends Ethan, I trusted you, and all this time you've done nothing but lie to me" she said, hurt evident I her voice.

"I'm sorry, for everything, and for what I'm about to do" I said

"Wha-" before she even had the time to response I quickly touched her forehead and she instantly fell to the floor unconscious.

"I guess being half witch does have its perks" I thought as I quickly made my escape. Yes I'm half witch. It's all thanks to Minori, that day she visited me and adopted me, was the day my fate was sealed as one of the bad guys, and there's nothing I can do about it.

I was almost through the window until the door suddenly open was revealing Kid and the others. Kid immediately rushed to (Y/n)'s side to check if she was okay. As soon as he saw me I gave him a peace sign and fell through the window. As I was falling through the air, I heard a very familiar sound. In a matter of seconds I was now on a flying broom instead of falling through the air and immediately knew that she was here.

"Hello brother" she said mockingly.

"Hello Minori" I said back thinking on how ironic her name was. All she ever does is lie, that's just how she is.
(A/n: Minori means "truth" therefore making Ethan think how ironic it is)

"Aww, what happened to sister" she said pouting slightly

"Shut up" I said as she only laughed.

"So, did you get the files?" She asked me.

"No, I got caught" I responded

"Ethan, Ethan, Ethan what will you do without me" she said as she lifted her hand reveling my backpack.

"How did you-"

"Your little commotion gave me enough time to sneak in and steal it" she said simply.

"Now Ethan I expected better from you, but alas what's done it's done" she said

"What do we do now?" I asked

"Now Ethan, we do what's left, we strike" she said, a wicked smiled plastered on her face.

After that the ride back "home" was quiet. As I looked out on the distance I couldn't help but think of one thing,

"After I'll this is over, I'll soon be free from this hell"
