Oh my god, I almost died.

Next time I'll attack the hot guy and he won't see it coming. Maybe then he can open his eyes and realize how much pain I'm actually in.

But now that I think about it, he has some serious anger issues, perhaps it's better to not do anything at all.

"Are you feeling all right?" She asked interrupting my train of wild 'how to survive a psycho' thought. I lifted my hand up and made thumbs down and pointed to my throat.

"I'm so sorry about my brother, his anger could get out of control..." I opened my mouth to question her but only a squeak came out. I frowned and looked up at the girl hopelessly. Please tell me my vocal cords are not damaged temporarily.

I wouldn't want my un-existing singing career to be over.

"Here," She said and got out her phone. On notes, I typed 'who are you people?'. I gave her the phone and she chuckled.

"I'm Mavis and since you can't talk, you won't be able to speak so I'll have to explain everything to you," She said and took a seat on the bed next to me.

"Let's just say that werewolves are not a myth, we are real, I'm a werewolf and I don't know if you saw my claws back when my brother almost killed you-" I shivered at the word 'almost' "-that was real too, I think you might have seen my brother turn into a wolf, and so he's the Alpha, in charge of everyone and everything in our pack. The Luna is the Alpha's mate and helps him protect the pack and make the right decisions. A mate is like a soulmate, someone who supposed to love you and spend the rest of the life with you. And you are the Alpha's soulmate, Declan's mate-" I stopped listening after she said that I am his mate.

Not gonna lie, I was in shock. Usually, I would make fun of it and laugh it out but right now nothing would come out of my mouth or my head for that matter.

You know that time when you walk alone down the streets and it's dark, you are scared a little bit of all the weirdos lurking around and your mind just goes blank and you don't dare think about anything at that moment because you are afraid that the boogie man will pop out of nowhere and eat you.

Yeah, that's me right now.

My mind is completely blank. I'm in shock. Complete shock. Maybe it's the fact that werewolves actually exist or maybe that I'm someone's soulmate who I'm supposed to spend my whole life with someone.

Is this something like an engagement? An arranged marriage of some sort? But that can only mean one thing...

But now that I think about it...if I have to choose between crazy ex and the killer Alpha hot guy, I'd rather go with the killer Alpha hot guy. Sure he hurt me but at least he didn't torture me like my ex did. My ex is human though.

"Hello? Are you even listening to me?" A voice interrupted my thoughts. I looked back at Mavis and nodded my head and she stood up with a smile.

"Well, I'm going to go tell Declan that he can come in and talk to you," She said and walked away leaving her phone in my arms.

She closed the door after her and went to get Declan...
