"Thereis still a military presence in D.C?" Sergeant Robinson asked surprised.

"Iam still in contact with the National Guard there. Get some rest, getsome chow, and tomorrow morning head out and find the missing team.Do you understand Sergeant?"

SergeantRobinson nodded, a worried look hidden under his tinted gas mask.

"Good. Here is all the information you will need. I apologize for my crappyhand writing" Mardy said, handing Sergeant Robinson a thin stack ofpapers. With that the Sergeant left Mardy's office.

"SergeantRobinson, damn it's good to see you again" said a soldier as hesaw him enter the southern turret point.

"Youtoo Snake" said the Sergeant as he and Snake shook hands.

"How'sthe rest of the team?"

"Notgood sir. It's just me, Borrelis, and Bull. The rest became sick andwere sent to the hospital wing"

"Didthey get bit?"

"No,they didn't but they had the same symptoms as one with a bite. Thenthey shut off our water and now we rely on what little supplies MajorMardy could put at lock and key from the civies here. It's been hell"said Snake as he continued firing. Suddenly his gun made a clickingsound and the firing stopped. He cursed as he tried to find thejamming problem. At that time the hundreds of infected still alivewere able to break the sand barricade and push through, stepping ontheir dead kin and heading towards the glass door.

"Shitshit shit shit they broke through. Sir! The freaks have brokenthrough at the southern point!" yelled Snake into the radio asfixed the jam and he and his partner concentrated their fire close tothe entrance. In his office the expression on Mardy's face changed toangered as he yelled into his radio.

"Ineed all not working troops head towards the southern entrance andreinforce it. I want snipers and more turrets to offer assistance atthe southern turret point.

"MajorMardy! The undead broke through the western point" yelled asoldier through the radio.

"Sir,they are smashing down the door at the northern point we need backup!" shouted another as more gunfire echoed through the halls. The expression of on Mardy's face changed to worried as more callscame in. Finally he snapped back to reality and yelled "Everyone, fall back to the tents and barricade the doors. I repeat, everyonefall back to the fields. Binks you're with me let's go" saidMardy as he grabbed his rifle leaning against the wall and left theoffice. In the fields, Jack and Candice sat at one of the many tablesset up, eating a warm plate of stew when they heard the loud gunfiregoing on. Frightened, the civilians that sat around the two werebeginning to freak out. Candice watched as dozens of civiliansentered the field and closed the gate. Suddenly one set of doorsbroke open and dozens of infected soldiers and civilians broke in.Some of the healthy civilians broke into tears as they recognizedsome of the infected. Inside the field, Staff Sergeant Robinson andSnake ran into the fields moments later. They saw as a group ofsoldiers, including Binks and Mardy, ran into the only Chinook parkedthere. Despite running towards it as fast as the two can, thehelicopter roared with life as it lifted from the ground and tookoff. Candice looked out of the window and watched as dozens ofsoldiers and civilians get surrounded by the undead. Tears rolled outof her eyes as she looked away. Jack saw that and grabbed her as hertears hit his chest.

"Fuckthere goes our ride" said Snake as the helicopter disappearedand the gunfire died down.

"Wecan't stay here. We have to run to the exit" said the Sergeant as hepointed to the double doors being pushed open followed by dozens ofinfected pouring in. Quickly, the two soldiers ran through the mazeof tents as fast as they could. While running they had to dodge thegrasp of dozens of infected that now begin following them. Suddenly asoldier ran into their path and after realizing it's Jenkins theylowered their weapons.

"Ohthank god. Where are we heading?" asked Jenkins as theycontinued running.

"Anywherebut here" said the Sergeant as he opened fire to a few infectedsoldiers in their way. As they entered the hallway Snake suddenly gotjumped by a group of heavily decomposed infected. Snake screamed inpain as he got his chest and neck torn apart. Sergeant Robinsonwanted to help but the numbers of infected entering grew so the tworan the opposite direction. As they reached the entrance they sawthat the two doors are still closed but dozens of infected arepounding their fists against it. He was about to run down the hallwaywhen Jenkins stopped him.

"Whatis it?"

Hepointed down the hall at a open door marked exit with no infected insight. The two sprinted through that door and did not stop until theydid not here anymore moaning and screaming. By an empty alley theystopped to catch their breath.

"Nowwhat do we do?" Jenkins asked, looking down the deserted alley.
