"Data transfer has been completed, system reboot at 100 percent"
My eyes shot open and I was immediately greeted by a blinding light source that came from the ceiling.
My vision was still fuzzy but after about a few seconds I was able to make out my surroundings.
The room was empty, with only the bed that I lied upon and a few drawers filling the space. The walls were a smokey color which matched with everything else in the room.
But upon closer inspection I've come to realize that everything was black and white. Almost as if my capability of distinguishing different colors had been disabled.
"Good morning _No._ this unit has been restarted approximately eight minutes and thirty two seconds ago"
What the hell happened?
I tried to move but my body felt like it was being pinned and I was held stiff.
"What's happening? Why can't I-"
"Negative, Unit _No._'s joints have been restricted, such orders were given by the commander herself"
Almost on cue; the door to my room slid open; followed by slow and steady footsteps approaching me.
My glare focused on the figure in front of the door frame but I couldn't make out any details. The bright light behind them wasn't helping either.
"It appears that the data transfer was a success pod?"
"Affirmative"
The all too familiar voice rung in my ears once again and I was instantly filled with hatred.
"Commander"
My tone was low and threatining but she clearly wasn't fazed and kept up her advancement until she was right by my side.
"There's no use bickering _No._ you're completely defenseless."
My gaze never left her as she started to pace back and forth with her hands behind her back along the lengths of the bed.
"This is the favor that I had mentioned in our little chat that we had a while back"
Her eyes grew dark and menacing but she still kept her calm demeanor.
"Favor?"
I was completely confused, my memories were all in a haze, I could only recall that I was on a reconnaissance mission and that was it.
"Guess those are the drawbacks of a new body, it doesn't matter, let's just say that I've done you a favor, that's all you need to know"
My thoughts were all over the place, what did she mean by that?
"Pod"
She called out before I felt the pressure in my joints release and a wave of relief swept over me.
I began my crawl out of bed, my joints have been locked into position for so long it feels like they're still frozen.
After enough effort: I managed to bring myself to stand up by her side.
"Follow me"
She was so straight forward, she had little to no sympathy for my current condition but then again; why the hell would she?
We're talking about a person who has sent multiple pursuit androids to kill me in the past.
We walked out into the hall in which the ground gradually curved upwards in both directions. No matter if I looked left or right, we would be walking in a never ending loop.
