Monster AU (Part two)

"How?" Rollan asks, "I mean, no offense, but an elf who can make things grow sounds more powerful than you."

"Ha!" Abeke shouts gleefully.

Conor scoffs, "the most powerful are witches and wizards, they do spells and stuff. They were very dangerous and immortal, but humans wiped them out. There's no more witches or wizards. At least that's what we think, they look human so they live in the human world," Conor explains, "they're only weakness is fire and sirens."

"Second most powerful?"

"Gargoyles, also non-existent at the moment. There immune to all magic except potions. They are really creepy, because they can change from a stone figure to a human persona. They went extinct because humans saw them as beautiful and witches and wizards decide to make a potion to turn them to stone forever and sell them. They can survive anywhere. I don't remember if they're immortal or not."

"And werewolves are third because-?"

"Well, as our human counterparts, we are kinda weak. The only ability staying with us is our night vision," Conor says tapping underneath his glowing eyes, "and we're a bit faster and stronger than humans and age slower. As you probably learned, werewolves are one of the few with the ability to block out the Siren's abilities. When we turn into our wolf counterparts, it's bad. We turn full wolf, not that half human stuff that gets drawn, but full wolf makes us the size of," Conor hesitates trying to think of a good size comparison.

"The size of two horses," Abeke suggests.

Conor shrugs, "I mean, I guess you'll see with me. Turning in influenced by what moon cycle we got bit on. In my case New Moon," Conor looks up, "which is tomorrow."

Rollan coughs, "hold up, how are we supposed to stop you?"

"I make an unbreakable cage," Abeke explains, "and elves are fifth on the list, only being beaten out by Sirens."

"Sirens-"

"Sirens use their voice to lure people into their waters and kill them," Conor starts, "thankfully they are only stuck in one section, where ever they got cursed. They start as mermaids who committed an unforgivable crime. Mermaids are actually related to elves, specifically water elves. So I guess that makes elves and sirens related?"

Rollan's head was starting to spin from all the information, "I think that's enough for today. What about you?" Rollan asks turning to Meilin who was quiet the whole time.

"I'm none of your business," she scowls. The night sky was freckled by glowing stars and they reflected in the girls dark eyes. Rollan looks away before she can realize that he was staring.

"I wouldn't go for that if I was you," a voice warns. Rollan freezes and looks around. Abeke was jumping from rock to rock, Conor was to far ahead to say anything, and Meilin wasn't speaking to him. So who said it.

"Oh, I did. Sorry," the voice giggles. It was female, but still invisible. What was up with all these female demons?

"Demons follow easy prey," the voice explains, "so females follow males. You shouldn't go with them, they're using you."

"Show yourself," Rollan demands.

The demon doesn't speak, weighing options. Finally, she does. It was a girl, younger than Rollan. Long hair and a plain dress. The only problem was that she was see through. Not in the way that Rollan could see all her organs, but in the way he could see the tree behind her. Her eyes looked kind, but there was a spark of mischievousness behind it.

"They're going to kill you," she warns, "humans are dangerous to our world, having one walk around is bad."

Rollan narrows his eyes, "how do I know you're not going to kill me?"
