Y/N'S POV

I sighed just a little too loudly as I walked into the school. Just another Tuesday in High School. I see my friends in the hallway and they wave to me as I walk over. I'm the innocent one in our group. I've never had a boyfriend before. My friend's call me extremely pretty, but I don't see it. We don't really have a label in the school, but we like to call ourselves emo. We aren't about the whole black makeup and 'emo' haircuts, is what I call them. We like bands and we don't talk to other people outside our little friend group. But there was one kid who I would love to talk to. The school's bad boy. Josh Dun. My friends know that he's my crush. They don't understand what I see in him. Maybe it's his bright pink hair. Maybe it's because of how cool he approaches every situation. Maybe it's his personality, how he acts so tough but I can see in his eyes, that he has a soft side. He is not all bad. I was snapped out of my thought when my friend Ali said my name. "Y/N. Hellloooo. Are you there?" I blinked a few times before responding. "Huh? Uhh yeah. What" She pointed down the hall. "Isn't that your dream boy?" I looked to see who she was talking about. She pointed straight at Josh. He was laughing and having a good time with his squad, Brendon Urie, Tyler Joseph, Dallon Weekes, 'Halsey' and a few other people that no one really pays much attention to. Halsey's real name is Ashley, but she forces everyone to call her Halsey because she thinks it sounds cooler. Not going to lie, it does. She has nice blue hair. Brendon has a amazing dark brown hair styled into a quiff. His hair is always perfect, even when that one piece of hair falls perfectly in front of his eyes. Dallon and Tyler have brown hair but Dallon has messy-ish hair that suits him. Tyler just has floof. During lunch they always go outside and smoke. I realized I was staring at the group when Josh looked back at me after Brendon said something to him. I immediately turned away. Another one of my friends, Kyrah, whisper-yelled "He's walking over here!" I started freaking out, but calmed myself down because he wasn't that far away from me earlier. Just then I felt a tap on my shoulder.

JOSH'S POV

I was walking through the school hallways with the squad. Most of the girls in the school swoon over me, Brendon, Tyler, and Dallon. We were good looking, not to lie. Dallon was telling some story about he got really drunk with Y/N's friend, Kyrah. Apparently they fucked but they both have feelings for each other. He doesn't know what to do so Tyler gives him some really shitty advice as a joke. "Why don't you just fuck more. Simple as that" We all burst out laughing. Brendon turns to me. "Hey dude, that girl is staring at you" I look over and see Y/N looking at me. She has been my crush for so long but there is a problem. She'd never like me back. She was looking as beautiful as ever. She had he hair down and curled with a Rolling Stones shirt that she cut to make it a crop top and black leggings with black and white converse. Basically a normal outfit but it seemed to make me fall head over heals for her. I knew I had to make a move sooner or later, so I decided sooner. I started to walk over to her when Tyler pulled me back a little. "Bro, what are you doing?" "I'm going to talk to her. I need to." I blatantly replied. Tyler and the rest of my group just stood there and watched me as I walked over to Y/n. We never really talked, but we've talked to the point where we both know each others' name. I could see Y/n's friend Kyrah whispering to her, probably that she'd seen me walk over. That must be the girl that Dallon was talking about. That made me smile. "Hey" I said to Y/n as I tapped on her shoulder. She turned around with a beautiful smile on her fave and a light pink tone to her cheeks. "Hi Josh" she responded nervously. Her friends giggled behind her. Her friend Branden said "We're going to leave you two alone" as they all walked off. Y/n cursed a little under her breath, but i could still hear her. I chuckled. "Oh, you heard that?" She said quietly. "haha yeah"

"Hey, but I came over here to ask you if you were doing anything this Friday?" I said. "No, I don't think so" "Alright, would you want to hang out with me on Friday then?" I said, trying to sound cool and hide all my nervousness. "Yeah, I'd love to" she said with a bright smile. "Great! Can I have your phone number so I can text you the details?" She nodded as I handed her my phone. I watched as her thumbs danced across my phone screen. "here you go" she said as she handed my phone back. "Thank you" I said with a smile before I turned away and walked back to my friends. I took a glance at her contact. Emo trash :)  I laughed. "OH SHIT! My man's got a daaate" Brendon said in a sing-song voice. He should seriously consider being a singer. He is hella good. "Dude, maybe I could ask Kyrah out and we could go on a double date!" Dallon chimed in. "That sounds like a good idea!"

Y/N'S POV

When Josh walked away, I ran to find Kyrah, Ali, and Branden. I screeched really happily, then they mimicked my actions. Then we all burst out laughing. "Okay, spill the beans" Branden said. "Alright, so he kinda asked me to hang with him on Friday! Aaaaaaaannnnnnd maaaaybe my number!" I said the last part in a high pitched voice, letting my happiness take over my body. "No way!!!! Good for you girl!" Kyrah said excitedly. "Wait, hold on guys oml." Kyrah said. "What?!" we said in unison. "Dallon text me! He wants to have a double date with you and Josh!" She said the last part to me. "That's a great idea!" As soon as I said that my phone buzzed. 

[unknown number]: hey, it's josh. i'm guessing kyrah told you about the double date thing?

[y/n]: yeah, i said it sounds like a good idea

I've been dreaming of the day he was going to ask me out, and today was the day. I know I'm going to go to sleep with a smile on my face.
